The Staff was outstanding, the location is very close to the highway (5 min by car), but the location where the Hostel is located is very quiet and calm, no noise during the night or early morning

Our visit turned out to be more than just an overnight stay as we visited several Templar castles and towers. It was a wonderful experience that complemented and enhanced our trip. The property is perfectly situated next to the Zêzere River, providing gorgeous views from our room, and even from the bathroom. From the balcony, we could also see the Dornes peninsula, including the Templar Tower. Such a serene location. Each room is different, both in layout and decor. They all have a theme related to key historical figures, including the Templars. Our room was themed on Jacques de Molay, the last Templar Grand Master in France who was burned at the stake. The living and dining area is also richly decorated, including portraits of all of the Portuguese monarchs. As lovely as the property undoubtedly is, it is the amazing hospitality of the hosts, João and Marta, that made the visit so special and memorable. João gave us a tour of the property, freely shared information on the area and on the Templars, and explained how they are pretty much self sufficient when it comes to food. Marta is a wizard in the kitchen, as well as being an equal partner when it comes to managing the property and the small farm. The optional traditional dinner with the hosts is not to be missed. It was delicious and included fish caught from the river that day - and home-made wine. The property offers a range of activities, both on land and on the water. We didn't have time to consider any of them, as we were only there for one night. Private parking was available for our car. The village centre is only a few minutes walk away. Highly recommended.

Everything. The host was amazing and very helpful. The room was beautifully decorated and the small touches were just so thoughtful. There were snacks, juice water as well. The grounds were immaculate. Gorgeous pool and pool area. Table tennis to play, a gym to use and outdoor cooking if you wanted to use it. Couldn't ask for better.

This is a very unique part of paradise, if a friendly relaxed stay is what you're looking for then this is it, for me and my family wanting to be surrounded by nature and take some time out of our busy lives we couldn't ask for more, the hosts were amazing.
