Not every day you get to stay in a house where the owner's roots go back to Portuguese royalty :) We absolutely loved our stay in Santiago Family House - staff made us feel very welcome, communication was fast and reliable, the room and the house overall was sparkling clean, nice and comfortable. You get to use the kitchen and all it's utilities which is specially nice when arriving late or staying for a longer period. Pool was a very welcome extra after a hot day and for a morning dip. Overall a very lovely stay, both me and my husband wished we could have stayed for more than just one night.

It's a very beautiful and picturesque place! It was raining when we arrived, and it was very romantic to look out the window and hear the sound of the rain. I'm sure it's wonderful to walk there in good weather. The common area and breakfast were also very good and thoughtful. Very nice house, comfortable for 6 people (three double bedrooms where two of them with attached bathrooms) plus two additional separate bathrooms/ toilets. Nice terrace with air conditioning to relax. We spent there 10 nights and the stay was very pleasant, this is quiet place in small village, with step and thin roads, surrounded by local plants and trees. It was good localization for us, so we could visit many places around: 30 minutes by car to the Barra and Costa Nova beaches, the same to Aveiro, 1h to Porto, 1h to Coimbra, 1,20 h to Fatima. Extremely good contact with owner, intimidate reaction on our emails and any needs - this attitude was priceless! Thank you Miguel we appreciated this a lot!

It is a wonderful little house with a big swimming pool. The house is perfect for a couple, wanting to have a private and quiet holiday. The kitchen and bathroom has everything you’ll need. The pool can also be used by other people who stay at Jenny and Hugo’s house but during our stay it was very quiet. Jenny and Hugo are very kind and welcoming! The location is wonderful! In the middle of nature with nice hiking and biking trails. Jenny has a great website to show all trails in the area! Porto and Coimbra are about 1 h and 10 minutes by car. We loved our stay!! We hope we can come here soon again.
