SpainEverything was perfect except for the one little detail where they advertise they have parking. They don't. What there is, is available meter parking around the hotel. From 9pm to 9am, the street parking is free. I did have to plug the meter every four hours but it didn't kill me. The breakfast was excellent.

The reception staff and the bartender were very, very nice.
The room was spacious, cozy with excellent bedding and bed.
In honor of my wife's birthday and wedding anniversary, they surprised us with an upgrade and beautiful gestures.
The breakfast is excellent and overall our stay at the hotel was excellent.

Aveiro is worth a 2 or 3 day stay with lots of interesting places to see off of the tourist trap of the center by the canal.
Tourists are bused in on a hourly basis to take the boat trip on the canal from 8am to 5pm so the are around the canal gets very packed.
The boat ride cost 15 Euros and the value has to be questioned as you will see nothing that you cannot do by walking, the boat ride is a nice to do
The towns museums are well worth a visit as is taking a walk through the old part of the town to the lagoon

It's a nice city to visit, in particular if you go Praia da Costa Nova. Very quaint and picturesque area.
To say it's the Venice of is a very large overstatement. The Moliceiro boat ride is okay and you learn a few things but it's not Venice. I would still recommend it for the price.
If you like sweets, then this is a great place. Ovos Moles are delicious egg sweets.

Its a nice town with plenty of places to eat and drink for all prices, bus travel is cheap and easy, it easy to walk around with thinks to see plus a boat trip if you fancy it, stayed 4 days but could of done with a few more

We did not ride the Gondolas as our adult kids were not...
We did not ride the Gondolas as our adult kids were not interested. They are motor powered so it takes away from the charm of the Venice theme. But we found nice places to eat at good prices compared to some of the other place we visited in Portugal. I wouldn't want to spend more than one night in the town though.

Wonderful place and near a city you need to visit, Costa Nova. The big advantage here - the land is flat! There's the boat ride and the shopping to do but it's not somewhere you need to spend several days to see it all.

The thing I like about Aveiro is the tiled houses and the ease of walking. Relatively easy to navigate on foot. Great place to explore and experience everything Portugal has to offer.
Good access to transportation via train or bus. Easy to get to the beaches.

The hotel is really stylish and a little bit artsy, the staff were all wonderful and the breakfast really good. We even had ripe papaya as a fruit choice on one day.
The view of one of the canals and the traditional Moliceiro fishing boats was great, but if you don't have a room facing that direction there is a lovely terrace on the 3rd floor with outdoor seating.
Given the location on a major road and pedestrian square, our room was remarkably quiet.

We had a great stay in Aveiro. The appartment has enough space and two modern bathrooms. There has been plenty of space in the nearby public free car park. The city center is just around the corner so this is a good place to explore the area.
