Retiro do Geres is a truly amazing place. It combines the calmness and beaty of the mountains with high quality service, food and accomodation. The personal is friendly and varm and makes you feel right at home. The breakfast is overwhelming. The restaurant is brilliant. The pool and sauna is beatiful. We had a great great time with our kids here for 3 nights while taking smaller hikes in the area around the village fafiao - and we hope to come back again.

Breathtaking location, lovely and kind staff, amazing breakfast (ask for scrambled eggs, they were delicious!) and new, comfortable room. Quinta da Riba Má even exceeded our expectations, and I am sure to say we will be back to stay longer than just for the 2 nights we did this time! It's an exceptional place.
