It’s a charming old hotel with truly amazing staff. You can tell that some renovations have been done, though a few imperfections remain. The swimming pool is fantastic, offering a wonderful view, and the staff there are especially attentive. Breakfast is good, but it could be improved, as the amount of food served varied from day to day. A few practical upgrades would also make a big difference: consistent daily room cleaning and providing enough towels (we sometimes had to wait for ours to be washed and dried). Overall, I can see real effort being made to improve the guest experience, and I hope the owner succeeds. The hotel has everything it needs to become a truly wonderful place to stay.

The location was utterly stunning. It was so special watching the sun rise & set above the clouds The room was very comfortable and Maggie was such a kind host. I just wish I could have stayed longer!

The apartment is centrally located in Monchique. It's very clean and comfortable, and the view over the mountains is incredible. The lady that welcomed me for the check-in was extremely kind and helpful, sharing some helpful tips about the village.

Loved everything about it! Great service, excellent hosts, beautiful location. The room we stayed in was so spacious and was great value for money. Comfortable bed and really nice bathroom and kitchen facilities. We could have stayed for 2 weeks!!

The town of Monchique is a super location for walking, hiking or driving in the beautiful western Algarve! I can think of nothing better than coming home to Villa Xique after a hard day's holidaying! The apartment is spacious, beautifully furnished and very well equipped, we particularly liked the large double en-suite bedrooms. Access to the apartment was easy and our host Isabel was always on call to answer any questions. Local restaurants are good and there is a large Intermarche close by.

The apartment is well situated very close to cafes, restaurants, the pool, park, taxis' and the bus stops. Everything you could possibly want has been provided for in this newly refurbished studio apartment. The welcome pack was an added bonus.
