The resort is absolutely fabulous, the suites are very well equipped and spacious. The spa was top notch. The breakfast was superb with lots of choice plus an additional focus on healthy eating. For dinner, we ate a light meal in the bar which was outstanding, not to mention the sweeping views of the valley and the magnificent sunset. Only good things to say about our experience. I wish we had stayed longer.

The Aqua Vista Monchique Hôtel changed ownership in July 2024. Since then, renovation work has been carried out to offer the best conditions to our guests.

Why would you go anywhere else, when you can go here! The view from the pool area was stunning! A special thank to the lovely owner for his kind help and the sangria! Loved the rooms with the beautiful balconies. Good food at the restaurant on the other side of the street.

Montalma is an absolute gem of the beautiful area of Monchique! We felt straight like home when arrived. Beautiful place surrounded by trees and flowers with a stunning view over the southern coast. You just sit at the terrace or balcony, drink your coffee or tea, breathe an amazing fresh air filled with aromas of forest trees and flowers, and enjoy the view. Also, I should say a great thank you to Margarita, she's an amazing host! I've never had better vacation experience - it was like staying at a good friend's place! Everything was excellent, lovely and beautiful during our stay.

Ōku : My best Booking experience ! First of all, the place is gorgeous. Even more than in the pictures. The house is arrounding by nature, and i saw the best sunsets.  The entrance is steep, but if you don't succeed to climb the ramp, there is a place where you can park your car before the property (what I did, so it's absolutly not a problem).  The room I had was so huge and so cosy, with a view of nature and quiet, really relaxing.  The kitchen is amazing, I had everything i needed to cook. Ōku is also a human experience, because Rita hosts people from all over the world. So it's the perfect place to meet really nice people.  Rita is so kind, welcoming and caring. She did everything she could to make my stay perfect. I felt like at home.  She has 2 adorable dogs Olivia and Oscar, who have so much love to give.  In short, it was a wonderfull stay.  My only regrets are not going for a swim in the pool and not staying longer. But I will come back ☺️.

Isabel was a great host. Very helpful with instructions and answering our questions. Even providing delicious home made jam. The apartment is well equipped with all the amenities you’d need to settle straight in. Nice clean bathroom, hot shower, decent WiFi and a smart TV. Then everything else you need to make a home from home. The location is blissfully quiet of an evening but only a short walk from a few bars and restaurants. There are shops with locally made products and souvenirs, as well as a supermarket just down the road too. Parking was a bit daunting at first, but after a day or two you realise there is ample places to leave the car. We found it a wonderful central location to explore The Algarve.
