The apartment is well appointed with all the white goods you will need. Very clean and bright. A safe and easy entry procedure with stairs and a lift. The apartment is functional and cosy. The ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower is a treat. The small rooftop swimming pool is perfect (obvious rules make it safe for all).
The owners/agents communicate well. So any problems then they are a WhatsApp/phone call away. That support is welcome in any event.
There is a notice within the apartment which, quite rightly, requests not to be noisy in the late evening. Not a problem with our party. However, we noticed that due to poor wall insulation in construction the noise carries from other apartments. Again, not a big problem.
As the area is a relatively new ‘estate’ of apartment blocks it feels a little quiet due to the number of empty ‘second homes’ within it. Summer-season may be different as our visit was middle October.
There are a couple of restaurants and a small shop, but there are better ones available further down the road. A Lidl ten minutes walk away.
The apartment is situated at the far end of the ‘beach boulevard’. It is but a short walk to the centre of town and the two fabulous covered markets. Plus the ‘labyrinth’ of pedestrian friendly roads of the old town, full of cafés, shops, and restaurants.
In short, we recommend this apartment. Enjoy all of the above.

It's a working fishing town, not overly touristy and better for it - very Portuguese and lovely. Plenty to see, the town is full of side alleys and hidden places to explore. The markets are fabulous, Saturday is amazing with so many traders clustered around the outsides. A boat trip to the islands is also recommended. I don't think it possible to have a poor meal anywhere here.

Lots of tiny winding streets, so, go, get lost away from the commercial site. Visit the fauna around the salt pans where you’ll see amongst other birds, storks and flamingos 🦩.
Make sure you visit at least one of the islands and their beautiful beaches. We ferry to Calatra and walk the beach to Farol. You won’t be disappointed.

A wonderful town with buckets of things to do for every taste and budget. Charming and not too inundated with tourists, people are very welcoming and helpful. Close to other destinations by ferry, train and bus, Olhao is a great place to unpack your suitcase!

Beautiful town, very relaxing.
Beautiful town, very relaxing. Beautiful restaurants for all tastes. Beautiful church in the town, lovely boat trip to Armona although be prepared for a lengthy walk to the beach - a good 30 mins but well worth it. Get there early as there are not a lot of loungers or bring an umbrella with you.
Some new restaurants in town. “My SteAkhouse” was excellent, a bit pricier than most about but worth every penny.

Olhao has a bit of everything from upmarket restaurants to cheap and cheerful . It overlooks the Atlantic and the ferry trips to the beaches were part of the fun . Its not too touristy and its not too lacking in amenities for all tastes and budgets , The railway stat is an ideal way to visit other Algarve towns which we did ...... try Olhao .... im glad we did .

This hotel is amazing. We wanted a weekend for a quiet hen do and this place did not disappoint. Only 13 minutes from the airport and the best restaurants near by. The hotel could not do enough for us. I loved it so much I will take my partner next year. The SPA was also fabulous.
This is a fantastic hotel. Really clean, bright, and comfortable, and the staff were lovely! Breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh choice. Right in the centre of Olhao, but still quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend.
A stunning historical house with high walls and an awesome rooftop terrace - with the best view of Olhao! It‘s centrally located within all restaurants and the mercado. Comfy bed, clean and super friendly.
I booked the hostel as it was in my favourite location in Olhao.
The roof terrace offers the best view of the city.
Had everything you could need.
