utterly beautiful old style mansion- updated to an incredible standard. interior, exterior gardens/ pool and neighbouring locale all perfect as was breakfast

Staff very helpful and nice. The hotel is not new but extremely well maintained. Free parking is great and the salt water swimming pool is at a perfect temperature, you don’t want to get out of it!

The hotel is very good. Very clean. Comfortable. There is a garage under the hotel. We really liked the atmosphere – peaceful and relaxing. The staff was incredibly friendly, both at the reception and in housekeeping. We also enjoyed the pool and the surrounding area. The sea is within walking distance, with a wide beach. It’s a perfect place to unwind and escape from stress – no loud music or crowds. Breakfast was good as well. Thank you to all the wonderful staff!

The Hotel is situated in an old private park in Vila de Gaia, a bit off from the center but accessible within a 20 minute walk from the Douro or by bus. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, especially when I became sick and needed a bit of help during meals - which were always great, with a high quality buffet or dinner courses. We stayed over New Year's and attended the five course dinner and can really recommend the Bodeiras restaurant. The service was impeccable. The Hotel is very beautiful as well as the rooms, which are well isolated and climatized. The beds are very comfortable. The Spa staff was very kind and professional and the massage i got was great.

Everything was excellent! Quick Check In. The Room was clean and cleaned everey day. We ate good. I defenitely recommend this stay.

The hotel location was fabulous with splendid views of Porto. The hotel itself beautifully appointed with high end furniture and amenities. Art pieces throughout the whole hotel complement the premium feeling of it. Great pools, great staff and amazing views. And all of this while keeping an authentic feeling of the previous building in this new repurposing for the hotel. Excellent.

Location is great , had view of the bridge and the old town from my room. Pool also has great view towards the bridge. All in all beautiful hotel and friendly staff

In general our stay was exceptional and met our expectations. The best hotel we have ever been.

This Hotel is PERFECTO Very friendly staff in the reception and restaurant, Breakfast is absolutely amazing, Hotel environment and interior in delightful, The Spa is up stunning, Room is spacious and very comfortable beds. I extended two more nights because I liked the hotel and Porto is a beautiful city. Just everything I needed to enjoy this special trip.

This is another level of luxury experience. It’s like you are hosted in one of the palaces you normally visit and pay entrance for. We were in the kings suite and everything was so aristocratic, there was wardrobe entrance to the bathroom like you enter Narnia. It was great to take a bath in the bathtub after long day of walking and just listen to the birds singing in the garden. The breakfast was also super, with various foods, and there was a nice lady who was very kind and helpful if you need something. Highly recommend.

Great stay very friendly place

Location was perfect. Next to public transport and 10 mins to city centre. Great facilities and great value for money.

Staff was very warm and caring. Rooms are very clean and beds very comfortable.

Of course The Yeatman is tradionally Porto's finest hotel, certainly one of them, in most people's estimation. It remains a luxurious, charming and fascinating building and a superb place to stay or eat. The surroundings are elegant, classic and yet modern. The views across the river back to Porto itself are unbeatable. The multi-level design of the building set a precedent that has since been followed many times in Vila Nova de Gaia. All the restaurants are excellent. It's expensive, but relatively reasonable in shoulder season or off season. On this visit, I enjoyed as always seeing a bird of prey - a Harris Hawk, my cousin tells me based on photos - being used to scare off other creatures, and the lift interiors with their clever wall to wall panoramas of the Douro Valley and a wine cellar. Finally, it was sweet to be in a room named "Quinta do Crasto" after one of my favourite Douro wines!

Very nice and small hotel with beautiful applications done with love and passion. Awesome breakfast and a perfect view over the river.
