No doubt most amazing place in whole Transfagarasan road. On the edge of Vidraru lake triangle. All hotel is very nice and clean, has free spa for people who stay there. Very delicious food in restaurant. Big separate bar at the entrance lobby with tv. Big terrace with amazing view to the lake. Also there is kayak and boats renting place 100 metres down to the lake (just not worked that day for some reason, thats sad).

From a nature perspective, absolutely stunning.

From a nature perspective, absolutely stunning. This area contains the southern part of the Transfagarasan mountain pass and there is a lot to see and do here. The scenery is spectacular - it also takes a long time to drive, so make sure that you have enough time. Try and avoid night time driving for animals (bears and dogs), but also for the fact that the road is extremely winding and tiring to drive. You will certainly see bears - the southern part of the road (Highway #7C) is a bear conservation area along Lake Vidraru.

The accommodation is right in the centre of the village, surrounded by mini-markets and other hotels. At the same time, it’s close to the lake and forest, so we spotted the first bears on the road after just 10 minutes driving. We were given a warm welcome and were looked after with great kindness throughout our stay. The restaurant, which is open all day, treated us to coffee, breakfast and a sumptuous and delicious barbecue platter in the evening. For us, it was the perfect hotel room before our drive along the Transfagarasan.

The hotel has very friendly staff making sure that everything is as it should be and is located in a great area to start the ascent on Transfagarasan. You get a chance to see bears from the balcony in total safety. It has clean and equipped rooms.
