We had a fabulous time here. The hosts are really nice people, they cooked us a delicious dinner and also let us catch trout for the grill in their fishponds. The garden is beautifully landscaped, they have 2 small dogs, one loves cuddling and the other is a bit shy, but before we left, he wasn't afraid of us anymore. The cottage was in good order, clean sheets, hot water. Of course, if you expect luxury, you have to go to a hotel. But here you will experience real experiences that will stay with you forever. Thank you very much and we hope to visit you again one day.

Now and again there are places where you want to score 11. This is one of those places. It's worth the detour off the main drag because it has a charm all of its own, which you can find for yourself, without my 2 cents. I chose this place based on the reviews and was not disappointed ! Definately a good marker stop for Long distance travellers.

The owners of this hotel are incredibly hospitable — you feel as if you’re sitting by the fire with old friends. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious! I was extremely pleased with my stay at Pensiunea Sarmis in Sarmizegetusa, Romania! The room was very cozy, clean and warm, which made my holiday even more enjoyable. The water in the bathroom was always warm, which is important for a comfortable stay. I also appreciated the free pool, which was a great way to relax after a day of sightseeing. The only downside was that the sauna was chargeable, but that didn't detract from my overall impression of the hotel. Everything at Pensiunea Sarmis is done with attention to detail and style, the interior is all wood and looks very beautiful and authentic. The tavern is simply amazing - with the style of a hunting lodge, filled with furs and elements from nature, which creates a cozy and unique atmosphere. I had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back!
