The views are immaculate! The heart and soul is truly the staff. Joelle, the manager, is an absolute a gem! The food is delicious, Jean is an incredible chef who goes out of his way to accommodate special requests and comes out and helps make your dining experience special. There’s truly nothing like this property. It’s a home they turned into a hotel and it’s so intimate. We will definitely be back!!

We LOVED our stay at Amazi! Deborah is an amazing host, the room is quiet and comfortable, the location simply breath-taking, and the breakfast delicious. We also booked a boat tour to the islands -- just let Deborah know and she'll make arrangements for you -- which we loved. We went swimming in the lake in the morning, which was one of our favorite experiences around Lake Kivu. If you are in the area, make sure to stay here.

Amazing place ! Right on the water for a beautiful view and swimming ! The room was huge , king size bed , very private area in the back with nice area to relax outside ! The spa is in the front yard ! A 5 minute boda from town , no problem ! Breakfast was good had coffee juice eggs and fruit ! Free drinking water too!

This is a stay that I have never experienced before, exceptional is an understatement. We couldn’t have picked a better place for our honeymoon, and I am genuinely convinced that this tops all other lodges. If you want to experience Rwanda up close and personal, and also realistic, this is the place. You will surely feel at home and private. One tip, if you plan to reach the lodge by self-driving a car, a SUV is a must. Otherwise, there are options for airport pick up even from Kigali for a fee. There are various activities offered by the lodge which are worthwhile and a full-board dining is most definitely recommended. Overall, we are coming back 10/10.
