We really enjoyed our stay in Kalix Riverside Inn. It is a unique family owned swedish place where a lot of effort and care has been put in. We stayed in the house on top of the hill with a shared sauna in front. Room and bathroom were very clean, decoration was very original with a great vintage taste and kitchen was super well equipped, including oil, salt, tea and basics which are always a really nice detail. The hosts are very kind, providing us many self made booklets of things to do around the area. Breakfast was great with views to the river and the bird life. We also loved dinner in the evening. Products are local and were delicious. We would really recommend staying here for an authentic nature experience supporting family owned businesses! Hopefully we can come back in the summer!

This was a lovely hotel. Our room had a view across to the old church and the rover and bridge. Breakfast was excellent with a European buffet and eggs and bacon cooked as requested. We liked that they had an awning to protect the room from the sun.

In the centre of Kalix, just a stone's throw from the beautiful River Kalix, is Hotell Valhall, offering high-standard single and double rooms and spacious mini suites with private saunas.

The staff could not of been more helpful, Ellen in the restaurant was so polite and lovely. the girls on reception were also so professional and polite ( I forgot to get their names) the hotel itself is very comfortable with spacious rooms and good facilities. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food is exceptional! the breakfast spread is very versatile with every option you can think of. The hotel location is perfect for exploring kalix and is right beside the river which Is beautiful to walk on. Thank you to all the staff for your help with everything during our stay.
