Just incredible! There are not enough words to describe this place and what you will feel staying here. Jure and his family have made every detail special! from the amazing and comfortable rooms, to the beautiful garden and the delicious breakfast! Perfect location with parking, it takes just a small walk to the Skocjanske jame park. It is highly recommended to stay more than one night here, to enjoy the surroundings, slow down and just relax. We will be back for sure! ♥️

We had a wonderful stay at Grahor Hotel. The hotel is charming, comfortable, and very welcoming. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. The breakfast restaurant was excellent, with delicious food and great service. The location is perfect as a base for exploring the surrounding area and going on day trips. We are from New Zealand, and this was our first night in Slovenia. We were greeted by a young gentleman who was polite, very helpful for the night, and was a fantastic host. Unfortunately we can't recall his name to thank him personally. He and other staff were always attentive and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, which was appreciated after a long drive. The food in the restaurant was well priced and delicious, with more than generous portions (we couldn't finish our plates). Breakfast in the morning was fresh and very tasty, with plenty of variety. We highly recommend staying here for the wonderful staff alone, let alone the facilities.

Divača is a quiet town/village on the railwy line between...

Divača is a quiet town/village on the railwy line between Ljubljana and Koper. It is very close to both Lipica and to skočjanske Jame. These caves are my favourites in Slovenia, although not to be visited if you have a problem walking.. The park surrounding the caves is very beautiful too. Divača itself is quiet, but has a Cinema museum, which is popular with those interested in early silent films. There area few trains three each day, and also a bus service during the week. Not at the weekend, however, as I found to my cost on another occasion when I drove a friend's car home for her - and then found there were no buses on Saturdays by which to travel back to the coast!, and the next train would have kept me late for my meeting. Luckily, there were others around to heading the same way. While Skočjam and Lipica are open all year, there are also smaller caves in the area which are open only in the tourist season. To drive there from the coast takes about 30 minutes, and about the same driving time will take you to Postojna and the more famous caves there, or to Predjamskigrad, an amazing Castle , most of which is inside the mountain, hence its name - the castle in front of the cave.

Super friendly and helpful staff, nice cosy place close to the caves but not too close. Loved the patio where we had both breakfast and dinner. Overall a really positive experience! Recommend downloading the TototaGO app which gives you access to really cheap (approx €2,5/person) rides to eg Divaca and Lipica. Breakfast was super tasty!

Nicely furnished small apartment with everything you need for your stay. The location is in the quiet village, which is great for peaceful break and a great base for sports activities and exploring the natural beauty of the karst (Škocijan caves, Divača cave, Lipica etc). The host was very friendly and helpful.

The only good things there were a nice breakfast in the main Hotel Malovec building and a big convenient parking. Staff also is OK. I rated the review with 6 points only because of that. Everything else is rather disappointing.

Convenient location with a car for Trieste and Postojna. Parking is easy in the hotel's own car park. Family room was huge, everything clean amd comfortable. Reception staff is kind and helpful. Breakfast choice was also fine.
