AustriaWe had a wonderful stay! The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable, and the view during breakfast was absolutely stunning. The breakfast itself was delicious and made every morning special. The hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always helpful. We truly felt at home and will definitely come back again!

United KingdomBeautiful setting, really close to Smartno and Dovrovo. Eating my meals on the terrace, in front of rolling vineyards was amazing experience. I really appreciated the little extra touches: the host was waiting at the bus stop to greet me and provided some delicious home-grown tomatoes. The house is really well equipped with supplies like tea and coffee, maps of the area, even something for zapping insects. Beds probably the most comfortable I have had in a really long time, everything clean and modern. I felt a real sense of freedom having the whole house to myself.
Host communicated really well and even provided advice about catching the right bus on the day of my check-out.
I had a wonderful time.
P.S. It is possible to do a day trip to Gorizia (Italian) from the property, even on public transport, without any problems.

Our host was very friendly and the breakfast served about 200m away in their communal breakfast room. Nice selection of cheese, cold meats & boiled eggs, cereals and machine coffee.

The entire region is a wonder and just the perfect place for...
The entire region is a wonder and just the perfect place for a relaxing break. The views are spectacular, the locals are wonderful and it's clean, quiet and beautiful. Not much to do except walk and visit churches and small village but if you need excitement there's plenty of small villages and towns in Italy and Slovenia for shopping or exploring.

Super quaint and tiny. Loved it and the views but super quiet mid week - the town was pretty empty except for other travelers. Resto options limited mid week - so plan ahead and do your research. There’s a grocery store ~2 miles away and a bakery en route to the grocery story so you can stock up there if you need to. I’d def recommend Šmartno - but shoulda planned to be there on a Thur or Fri evening (not Tue and Wed) to get a different vibe. Wine bar in town is wonderful, as is the olive bar restaurant (tiny!! All home made!). We also hired a private wine guide one afternoon (Slocally) thoroughly recommend!!

A beautiful village in an amazing location.
A beautiful village in an amazing location. If you want Tuscany without the crowds, come here! We stayed for a week and I'm glad we had this much time as there was so much to do. Every day we went for a long walk or we rented e-bikes so we could explore even more of this beautiful region. Also recommend the wine tasting at Klet Brda in Dobrovo as it's great value. A few things to note: Public transport isn't frequent, so our host graciously picked us up from the train station and we hired a driver to take us to the train station on our departure. Groceries are availabe in Dobrovo and Kojsko.

The host was lovely. We were provided with a variety of leaflets with activities in the local area(alongside a few glasses of wine). We definitely recommend Sabotin for the WW1 caves and tunnels and the stunning views.
The apartment is beautiful. We could watch the sunrise across the vineyards from the bedroom. The bed was so comfy. We loved the Nespresso machine and pods! We wished we stayed longer. The local wine bar is lovely with nice views. There is a lot to do in the area around Smartno.

We had a great stay. The House is really modern and has everything you need and the view from the terrace was just a dream. Our host even showed us a bit around smartno and gave us recommendations for dinner. We ended up buying a nice bottle of wine and spent the entire evening on the terrace talking and watching the sunset. The kitchen and living room are really spacious, And the breakfast was beyond our expectations, really good!

Lovely property. The decor is quite old fashioned but its spacious and comfortable. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and had thought of everything you might need for your stay. Excellent amenities and generally a very lovely base for our holiday. Lovely short walk up the hillside to Smartno.

Beautiful setting, rooms and restaurant. This is a very special hotel. The staff take great care to make sure you are well taken care of. Dinner and breakfasts were fantastic.
