Only a short 1.5hr fast ferry trip from Langkawi, Malaysia.
Only a short 1.5hr fast ferry trip from Langkawi, Malaysia. Beaches were clean and the village was clea of rubbish. Walking street is very touristy, food is okay but most cater for tourists. Good locl restaurants can be found outside Walking Street. Taxi's always available even at small quite beaches, easy way to get arround the island. Scuba Diving was good, about 15 to 20mtrs visabiity, and water temp was 31Degs celcius. Locals very frendly.

Stayed 2 nights but would’ve liked 3 or 4 as it was a relaxing place to sunbathe and swim. It’s a small island so would’ve been nice to explore and maybe find some empty beaches. The massage at the hotel on the beach was very good. Travelled by Tigerline Ferries from Krabi (small speedboats) via Koh Lanta. Took 6.5 hours in total so a very long day and would choose a different route next time.

Koh Lipe is the best place in Thailand I have been so far. Little, which mean you can walk everywhere, relaxing but if you want to party you can. The beaches are beautiful, the people that live in the island amazing, food is great. Nothing else to say.

Absolutely lovely. Definitely coming back again. This island is a true paradise. Quite a long way to get to but worth it when you’re there. Sunset beach gives you little coves surrounded by rocks, great snorkeling and kayaking, beautiful sunsets and a quiet laidback atmosphere. Sunrise beach offer more open beaches free of rocks and plenty of white sand. It is busier and more crowded but still offering beautiful crystal clear waters. Ko Lipe caters for all crowds really and yet it retains that small paradise island vibe that enables you to switch off and truly rest. All locals are incredibly friendly and polite. They are genuinely hospitable and caring. Very easy to get around the island as you can walk everywhere. Should you need a taxi, there are plenty and no matter where you’re going you pay thb50. Food wise there’s plenty of choice for both Thai or western food. If you’re vegetarian or vegan you also will have plenty of options. The hotels offer catering choices at reasonable prices. Long tale boats are invading the beach and dirtying the water and damaging the coral reefs It was so hard to swim somewhere clean and without a boat There are no rubbish bins in the beach, lots of rubbish everywhere Incredible little island suffering from resorts,long tale boats and plastic consumption and reckless humans I feel so sorry for the little incredible ko lipe, I hope they will protect the island and save itSedaUnited Kingdom

Every place on Lipe is also close by a walk or by a free taxi by owners :-) Very spacious and clean rooms. Great yummy breakfast with big plate of fruits - the best sandwich and pancake i've ever had in hotel :-) Absolutely amazing owners, very kind and willing to help you. You feels like in your mama house :-) For sure the best accomodation of our 3 weeks trip in Thailand. Go there and enjoy great time!!!
