I have been around Thailand for many years and visited a lot...
I have been around Thailand for many years and visited a lot of places but never petchaburi. I was most surprised in a good way. The food options are outstanding the pra nakorn Kiri temple and the mahathat temple are as good as you will see in Thailand and the locals are very friendly. I imagined petchaburi as some boring provincial town but it isn't. It's not a party town though so it's not for all tastes.

One of the most interesting and pleasant cities in Thailand: Khao Luang cave, the beautiful palaces of Rama IV and Rama V, the historic center, etc. I recommend to everyone interested in thaï culture.

Charming small town, slightly off the tourist beaten track, this isn’t a bad thing! Plenty of temples to visit. Relatively easy to walk to all the main sights. People are very friendly. Some lovely places to eat in the town. There is a rooftop bar at one of the hostels which is a real hidden gem.

Probably my best stay in Thailand so far. Had everything you could possibly want and so much more. The place was so clean and well decorated, the host was incredibly friendly and helpful, food and snacks everywhere, bike rentals were a nice touch also. 10/10 recommended and would return for sure.

The hosts are amazing, kind and welcoming. The home cooked and thoughtful breakfast spread was greatly appreciated, it was a wonderful truly authentic experience. Comfortable and good value for money. A welcoming homely stay with hotel style comforts.

Cute little hotel in a residential area just outside the city centre. Everything was fine. The staff did not really speak English, but Google Translate made a good job and the staff was very helpful.
