I have been around Thailand for many years and visited a lot...
I have been around Thailand for many years and visited a lot of places but never petchaburi. I was most surprised in a good way. The food options are outstanding the pra nakorn Kiri temple and the mahathat temple are as good as you will see in Thailand and the locals are very friendly. I imagined petchaburi as some boring provincial town but it isn't. It's not a party town though so it's not for all tastes.

One of the most interesting and pleasant cities in Thailand: Khao Luang cave, the beautiful palaces of Rama IV and Rama V, the historic center, etc. I recommend to everyone interested in thaï culture.

Charming small town, slightly off the tourist beaten track,...
Charming small town, slightly off the tourist beaten track, this isn’t a bad thing! Plenty of temples to visit. Relatively easy to walk to all the main sights. People are very friendly. Some lovely places to eat in the town. There is a rooftop bar at one of the hostels which is a real hidden gem.

I had an amazing stay and exteded with an extra night. What really makes this place unique is the family who owns it - they are incredibly nice and helpful and they like to share their knowledge etc about Phetchaburi. The breakfast that's included is great - they make everything in the morning and the ingredients are all from Phetchaburi.
Phetchaburi itself is a nice town with beautiful temples, a great Palace on a hill and an interesting cave temple.

Nisa and Nit are the perfect Hosts we have been travelling try Asia for many years now and 2N Guesthouse is the best value for money we have stayed at. Is truly worth more than, so if you can Book directly and you will save them paying Commission to greedy Companies. Way under priced as they serve Breakfast push bikes for Free and Scooters for hire. And they give all the information for you to enjoy their beautiful Province. Phetchaburi. 😀🙏

Btw, there is an excellent northern-style cafe next to the hotel (across the road) with super good Khao Soi! And just in case there is the best motorbike service just around the corner.

We weee really comfortable at this hotel. Large room, very light as full wall windows, comfy bed and good bathroom.
The lady on receipt was lovely and very welcoming.
A breakfast of toast, biscuits, tea and coffee was a bonus.
