Beautiful lake views, very good countryside. Would be even better during the lavender season. Useful Wednesday market. Some good and not too expensive cafes, but might be too crowded during the tourust season

Two hours is more than enough. Tourist trap. Avoid it.
Two hours is more than enough. Tourist trap. Avoid it. The lakeside area is dirty and poorly maintained, except near the bus station! A total wasteland. A pretty postcard setting, but the reality is less poetic, alas. Squalid.

Egirdir is really only suitable if you enjoy swimming,...
Egirdir is really only suitable if you enjoy swimming, bathing, and sunbathing. It's located on a plateau, and the beach only gets warm enough from May onwards. July and August are only suitable for sun worshippers. I wouldn't spend more than three days there. The food is good and affordable.

This is a modest family guesthouse in a tiny village on the banks of Lake Eğirdir. The room was neat and clean. The breakfast made with fresh produce and homemade conserve was tasty and filling. Lake side restaurants are a couple of minutes walk away and the town of Eğirdir about 15 mins on foot. It has a real feel of getting away from it all whist being just around the corner from the bustle of town. Not much English spoken by the hosts.

Such a beautiful restored house, with lovely stone, wooden beams and wooden decor. It was in a fantastic setting right near the lake front. The staff were very kind, and the breakfast was fabulous. The owner very kindly gave us a double room despite my error in only booking a single room. We had a serene and picturesque walk by the lake.

Incredibly nice owners. We felt like we were part of their family. Delicious and plentiful breakfast. Wonderful Turkish tea and coffee. Rooms have everything you need. There is a kitchen and a terrace overlooking the lake. The best accommodation in Turkey. Pity we were only here for one night.

It is nice small family hotel. There are small but clean rooms. Hosts are very friendly. We had very tasty homemade breakfast.
The owners are great for running the hotel themselves and putting their soul into it.

Lovely picturesque spot in Egirdir. We stopped overnight travelling from Kas to Cappadocia. Accomodation is connected to excellent family run restaurant across the road.
