We loved the staff’s hospitality and excellent service, as well as the peaceful atmosphere of the place. It’s an ideal spot for reflection and planning ahead. The facilities were very clean, beautifully designed, and managed with great attention to detail. We also really enjoyed the pool and the breakfast — both were top-notch. . We felt truly welcomed and were even kindly upgraded to a suite. I visited Ameg Lodge five years ago and returned this time with my wife, and it fully met (and exceeded) my expectations once again. I also appreciated the new developments that will be ready in the coming months.

I can’t wait to come back soon—I’ve really missed paddleboarding, especially since they have the coolest bikes for exploring. We stayed at this hotel to relax between our climbs of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro, and it fully met our expectations. The staff were friendly, and the pool was clean and refreshing. Although there was some noise around the area at night, it didn’t really disturb us. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of during our stay. While we were climbing Kilimanjaro, we were able to leave our belongings at the hotel for six days, and everything was safely returned to us afterwards.

Staff (Joyce, Lavina): sweet, friendly, helpful, caring. Inexpensive, clean, quiet, comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast, possibility to have meals, dinner, drinks, beer.

We stayed on the seventh floor in the King Room. It's a corner room with two large patio windows on either side, which open on to two balconies. This room must have the best veiw of Kilimanjaro than any other hotel in Moshi. We spent three nights here and the best time to see the mountain was at sunrise, which in February was around 6.45am. At this time there was a clear unobstructed view as there was no cloud. After breakfast Kilimanjaro had disappeared for the rest of the day hidden beneath a layer of thick cloud. In the words of a tour operator, Mount Kilimanjaro loves to play hide and seek.  The hotel is a good modern hotel with all the amenities you'd expect. And has a great view of Kilimanjaro from the roof top bar. Although, it gets rather windy up there at sunset. It's a shame that the bar staff play very loud music, which totally spoils the ambience of the occasion. The breakfast is good and the waiting staff are very attentive and Jordon M, the chef, will cook eggs just as you like them. The room is well made up every day with all toiletries and towels are replenished. I found the air-conditioning controls difficult to operate but reception were quickly on hand to assist.  What makes the King Room, on the seventh floor, so outstanding is the magnificent, unobstructed, view of Kilimanjaro, which, when all said and done, is the only reason to be in Moshi

I really liked this place - the rooms were spacious -the staff was amazing - the food in the restaurant was good for the good price - the internet worked fine compared to other places in the area - they even prepared a full breakfast for me at 5:30 am before my departure to Nairobi. Many thanks! Everything I could ask for after my Kilimanjaro climb. I can recommend this place for your stay in Moshi.

Felt at home at Kivuli Lodge. All the employees are incredibly helpful and Frank literally answers messages or calls within seconds to take care of all of your needs - for which I'm very grateful. Would go there again for sure.

The ambience and swimming pools

Breakfast was always fantastic

I had a private room with a single bed and a private bathroom. The room has a ceiling fan which made the room fresh enough for me. The room and facilities were clean. Towels and toilet paper was provided. There is also a small table and chair in the room + two chairs in front of the door of the room to enjoy the view. The building has a very nice roof terrace with a view on Mount Kilimanjaro. The vibe overall is very chill and friendly. Staff is very friendly, helpful and flexible with check in. I arrived much earlier than check in time but was immediately provided with the room. The garden and reception are well decorated and nice to hang out. The location is very good since it’s on the main street and only 10 minutes walking from the bus station. There are nice cafes and restaurants nearby. There is no Bolt in Moshi but there are constantly bajjaji’s passing on the main street so it’s very easy to catch a ride when you step out of the hotel. There is a shuttle bus from Kibo Tower to Kilimanjaro airport if you fly with Air Tanzania which costs only 10.000 tsh (november 2024). You can just show up at specific times depending on the flight departure so it’s good to go to the Air Tanzania office to ask their staff about this. I combined the walk to Kibo Tower with sightseeing and a walk through the park, which is a nice opportunity to see the colorful autumn like trees. The shuttle bus is organized by Air Tanzania so it’s just a tip ;)

Did exactly what I needed it to do.

The staff was simply wonderful! I arrived at Moshi not in the best of shape, and the staff was so kind and attentive to my needs so that I could enjoy my stay here anyway. A big thank you to Johnas, the manager, who was even willing to accompany me to the hospital at a critical moment; I can't thank him enough, his incredible kindness really made an impression on me. The hotel was clean and well kept, the breakfast was good and the room was spacious and pleasant! I highly recommend this place and will gladly come back again if I'm back in Moshi :) thanks so much!
