The view of Kilimanjaro from the balcony is spectacular. The bathtub on the balcony is good to relax, although I only used it once. There is a nice pool. The whole property is very green and very good looked after. Everything is very clean. The majority of food in the restaurant comes from the organic farm. One of the staff, Benson, gave as a tour around the farm to see how everything works. He is enthusiastic and kind. Our waiter most of the time was Julius and he is very caring and positive person. We also liked Ismail, he seemed like the most competent in the hotel for any questions. The breakfast was great. Peaceful location.

Agathe & Claus have already received a lot of enthusiastic, fully deserved feedbacks from the web community for their hospitality and top class professionalism, well trained staff, food, immaculate cleanness of the venue and real luxury it offers in the midst of Tanzanian countryside. Let me ad 2 less obvious upsides: 1. You are free to make walks around the neighborhood to see, unguided and unguarded, the true rural Tanzania with friendly people, interesting landscapes, the real life. 2. For birdwatchers: the area is very productive with partly different set of species than those of Serengeti. The hotel is a natural base for Kilimanjaro hike, however, whichever part of North Tanzania you explore, if your home flight is from JRO (45’ drive) or Arusha (1.45h) you will want to stay for a couple of days at Pink Flamingo to relax after or before your African experience

Fantastic hotel, with really nice grounds. Big swimming pool and gym which were great to use. The staff were amazing, friendly and organised a fun day trip to Serval Wildlife. Queen did a fantastic job at dinner and lunch for me and I really enjoyed speaking with her. Thanks for a great stay !

A wonderful stay. Beautiful grounds with a garden and pool, and lots of beautiful potted plants. Lots of beautiful wood. Every detail was meticulously thought out. Attention to the guest. Klaus, the owner, was very attentive. Beds and bathrooms were decorated beautifully. Excellent cuisine. We highly recommend this apartment. The standard is very high.

Words cannot describe this place, you have to come and experience it for yourself! After our safari, we were exhausted, but also longed for some activity before continuing on to Zanzibar. That's why a few days in Moshi was exactly the right decision for us! We have not regretted this decision: Tulivu Retreat lives up to its name: we were really able to switch off 100% and enjoy our time here. Never before have we been so warmly welcomed and never before have we stayed in such wonderful accommodation. The pictures can't do the place justice, it's just incredible: from the architecture of the houses, the decor, the fantastic food and the extensive tropical gardens. I'm sure you won't find anywhere else in the area that is as beautiful. The activities we booked (mountain bike tour in the "Rau Forest", hike to the Materuni Waterfalls and Chemka Hot Springs) were also just great. Too bad we couldn't stay longer: There is so much more to see and we would have loved to extend our stay. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

Our main reason for coming here was the vegan menu at the restaurant, but we really were amazing by the entire property. The food was excellent and diverse, the people working there were very kind and helpful. The room was very stylish and clean. They have an organic garden, so the mint comes fresh in the Mojitos. The staff helped us to book some trips to coffee farms and hikes on Kilimanjaro that was well organized with a wonderful driver and guides.

Our stay at Karanga River Lodge was really great! Spacious room with a nice bathroom and shower. The pool was really nice and every day the staff put out chairs for us by the pool so that we could sunbathe ☺️ Breakfast was soo good - especially the fruits and fresh juice 😌 We had dinner there every night and the food was always delicious. Thank you!
