Island Paradise Inn is located very close to Stone Town in a less touristy area, a 20 min drive from the airport. It is only 2 streets away from Darajani market, and a 15 min walk away from all other major attractions of Stone Town. Stone town is more touristy and a little white washed if you ask me, so we absolutely adored our stay at Island Paradise Inn. We walked everywhere and it was nice seeing the locals buzzing about, enjoying their meals, playing, shopping. There is a money changer right next door and a super market a few shops to the left (under renovation when I stayed). The rooms were clean and the air conditioning was perfect. They did our rooms everyday which we appreciated. The lighting fixtures and furniture give it a very colonial feel. We enjoyed having a balcony. The size of the bed was perfect for 2 people, we also had a TV to stream some of our favourite shows. Special mention to the manager Mr.Nitin, who ensured we were comfortable and taken care of at all times. He made us feel very welcome. The old man who runs the breakfast at the restaurant was also very nice, he'd always stop and chat with us, make sure we got good rest, had everything we needed. Breakfast menu was varied and not the same everyday. We ordered in room service twice and both times found the food was good. I was pleasantly surprised at the Indian masala tea they made very well. If you're not ordering in, I recommend Polazz grill right opposite for some street food or walking up to Darajani market where there are plenty of good, highly rated local restaurants. Especially Lukmaan, for some authentic Swahili food which we really really loved. If you would like cafes and ocean view restaurants, they're also walkable distance from this hotel.

We arrived tired in the early hours of 5AM. The guy at the reception immediately arranged a room for us to check in. We were positively surprised because we didn't expect this. The staff is very friendly and they make sure you feel at home.

Ideal place to stay if you need to get to the airport next morning, not for sightseeing. Very helpful gentleman in reception who carried my luggage up 2 flights of stairs

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful stay at Emerald Palm Courtyard Hotel. The hotel is clean, peaceful, and located in a perfect area close to many attractions in Stone Town. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. They made me feel welcome from check-in until check-out. Thank you to the entire team for the excellent hospitality. I highly recommend Emerald Palm Courtyard Hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Super interesting little hotel. Full of interesting bits and pieces all to do with coffee. Great roof top for drinks and breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. Ideal for a night or two before Zanzibar adventure begins.

I adored my stay at The Seyyida Hotel and Spa. Wonderful treatment from the team. The manager is Amazing. Their spa is top notch. Breakfast and Dinner were amazing! Truely loved my stay there. Very central and right by Forodani Park where night market takes place.

Esperanga our host was exceptional, the safety and hospitality was above and beyond, I felt like I was family to her , I will def go back , also very central location , we walked around the city no problem

Just renovated, in the city center very close everything and in the souk. Ideal to visit Stone Town for a couple of days. Very nice people, beautiful rooftop, breakfast ok.

Excellent location to walk around Stone Town and waterfront, helpful staff, good breakfast, good wifi. Payment by Visa is possible. Staff helped us to get a parking space for our rental car next to the hotel. We had to check out early and we were served breakfast at 6:30 despite official breakfast time starting at 7:30. This hotel is absolutely recommendable!

Good location, close to all must visit places in Stone town. Big room, AC, good water pressure, nice staff, good breakfast. Roof top terrace.
