Island Paradise Inn is located very close to Stone Town in a less touristy area, a 20 min drive from the airport. It is only 2 streets away from Darajani market, and a 15 min walk away from all other major attractions of Stone Town. Stone town is more touristy and a little white washed if you ask me, so we absolutely adored our stay at Island Paradise Inn. We walked everywhere and it was nice seeing the locals buzzing about, enjoying their meals, playing, shopping. There is a money changer right next door and a super market a few shops to the left (under renovation when I stayed). The rooms were clean and the air conditioning was perfect. They did our rooms everyday which we appreciated. The lighting fixtures and furniture give it a very colonial feel. We enjoyed having a balcony. The size of the bed was perfect for 2 people, we also had a TV to stream some of our favourite shows. Special mention to the manager Mr.Nitin, who ensured we were comfortable and taken care of at all times. He made us feel very welcome. The old man who runs the breakfast at the restaurant was also very nice, he'd always stop and chat with us, make sure we got good rest, had everything we needed. Breakfast menu was varied and not the same everyday. We ordered in room service twice and both times found the food was good. I was pleasantly surprised at the Indian masala tea they made very well. If you're not ordering in, I recommend Polazz grill right opposite for some street food or walking up to Darajani market where there are plenty of good, highly rated local restaurants. Especially Lukmaan, for some authentic Swahili food which we really really loved. If you would like cafes and ocean view restaurants, they're also walkable distance from this hotel.

Ideal place to stay if you need to get to the airport next morning, not for sightseeing. Very helpful gentleman in reception who carried my luggage up 2 flights of stairs

Breakfast was perfect and location wasnt a problem to get there. Easy access to main road and a walking distance to Forodhani market and Zanzibar ferry

The staff are friendly and the rooms are great. Spacious, clean and great value for money. Breakfast served on the roof was lovely, staff are around 24/7 to assist. It is very centrally located and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to be.

The staff were amazing, Richard in particular was super helpful with all requests and questions. Breakfast was incredible, hotel room was beautiful and spotless. Catered to late arrivals/departures and helped arrange tours.

I can recommend everyone to stay here! The architecture and the historic design of the hotel Is outstanding! The location is the best! It is in the middle of the historic center of the Stome town. The view from the rooftop is amazing. The staff was polite and helpful!

We had the Kijani suite which was huge. My mum enjoyed the big double bed and I had a comfortable big single bed.the hotel is located in an old merchants house, very beautifully decorated Its right in the historic town centre. Walking distance to all the sights and shops. The owner Daniella was do helpful in organising a taxi from the airport and our trip to prison island.

The staff was welcoming, very respectful, and polite. Omary ensured that I get a taxi everyday to my conference venue, Zainab, Latifa, and Anchila were very helpful. Thanks for good hospitality. The place and rooms are very clean, I really got attachment to the staff. I will miss their excellent service 👏 . I hope to come back to Zanzibar and will definitely book the same hotel. The hotel is located in Stone Town, so one gets to experience the historical scenic infrastructure .

Beautiful hotel with excellent service. The in-house swimming pool is a nice bonus to a wonderful stay.

Modern simple hotel -very friendly staff -our flight arrived late so we also arrived late at hotel but it wasn’t a problem even though it was 3 am !

Treasures of Zanzibar is super central and is a well known hotel within Stone Town, which really helps you get around and back. The value is definitely worth the price. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is exceptional.
