Located in the heart of Maine's Kennebec River Valley, the Quality Inn & Suites Maine Evergreen Hotel is located off Interstate 95, at the gateway to Maine's capital city. The whole property including our room was amazingly clean! Although it was originally an older motel, they have renovated perfectly with taste so it is comfortable and cosy. Unfortunately it wasn’t a nice day to use the pool but it looked inviting. Thomas was a breath of fresh air following a long day on the road.

Jared is an excellent manager and the hotel is run in a professional and efficient manner. The room service staff always make sure you have everything you need. The ladies are hard-working and probably underappreciated... not by the staff, but it's just that kind of a job. They are excellent representatives of great hospitality. ~ ~~SUPER comfy beds, sheets etc always Chris clean and smell good, and the pillows are amazing. I slept so well. Ty! ~Vera 😄
I would not recommend the Subway at 225 western ave in Augusta, they don't change out there vegetables and the staff is not too friendly. People at places I went to seemed very paranoids, especially the hotel I stayed at, it was very weird. Not a very friendly place.
We visited my wifes daughter so we have been here many times over the years. she was from this area orignally so it wasnt anything new for us. traveling around is easy, there are many stores to shop at along with resturants to eat at.
As the capital city of Maine we continue to be surprised when we visit my elderly parents at how run down and non-appealing the main housing areas and roadways are. Maybe there are better areas but we mostly saw a lot of poorly maintained private and commercial properties. There are a few privately run seafood gems that would be easy to miss unless someone tells you about them. I’m sure there are plenty of others so to be fair I won’t name the two we frequented regularly while there.
I was in Augusta for personal reasons as my rental in Winthrop no longer met my needs. For those saying in Augusta, this motel was surprisingly comfortable - in fact the mattress seemed new! This was a bit shocking to me and really made this stay a positive experience for me.
I went to visit my sister who lives there. It is close to many quaint towns and river views. There are chain restaurants and shopping centers. There is a great state museum in Augusta as well. We stayed there and always stay there one night and then off to Boothbay Harbor for a week. our hotel was really nice.
Augusta
This is a lovely B&B in Augusta Maine area, sitting on a tranquil piece of vast land. The Inn is run as a family-style B&B with super friendly owner/staff, cozy settings and comfortable room. Wifi connection is great so you will not miss a beat connecting with the world. Breakfast is lovely. Such a pleasant stay at the Inn. Only hoped I had more days to stay there.
I love this hotel. It has a very large amount of personal meaning to me. I’ve been staying there for 20 years. We love the pool and breakfast. Beds are so comfortable and the pillows are awesome!!! The shower is awesome! Unfortunately, my next visit I’m going to have to stay at a more affordable hotel.
Location was great. Staff was helpful and very friendly. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Walls were surprisingly sound proof, and noise heard in the hallway didn't make its way into the hotel room at all. Also, the bed was extremely comfy. Their King bed seems supersized.
We liked everything! The room was spotless, they had excellent water pressure in the shower, which was also quite spacious. Sandy and her staff were very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was fabulous. I will absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone I know!
it was in a great area , the staff were wonderful and the main areas were spotless , as well as the breakfast area. but I was staying in a pet friendly room and the room smelled of dog pee and the floor was sticky . breakfast was so so . but staff were very helpful and attentive
I like staying at this hotel. The restaurant, though expensive, is very good. The room had a king bed, sofa, and fridge and microwave. The bathroom is gorgeous. Since the hotel renovated, it is lovely.
Property was so excellent, very clean and updated, the breakfast it’s was expected really good compared with other hotels they give you a paper bags with fruit and granola bar..
The beds were extremely uncomfortable as were the pillows. The pool was much smaller than expected. Overall the hotel needs to be updated with new beds.
Because of COVID-19 breakfast is in a bag. Prefer continental breakfast. Location of hotel is perfect.
