We had booked this property but when we arrived in the evening we were told Booking.com had double booked the room despite having an email confirming this. The lady at reception was most helpful and had booked us into another motel, the Belfast Harbour Inn, nearby which was of a much higher standard but honoured the price we paid and gave a free breakfast. We were most impressed with the help offered here and the other motel. The room was most comfortable and with very good facilities.

The room was ginormous! We had a twin and it had a jacuzzi in the lounge area with the TV and fire. Bathroom was bigger than my kitchen! Beds were comfy, it was peaceful and the grounds were well kept. Breakfast was very good and staffing wise Dave was very helpful including helping my friend get extra blankets in the middle of the night.

Belfast is a lovely, typical New England town.

Belfast is a lovely, typical New England town. The ocean tourist industry is very prominent and well done. Streets are clean; Traffic not for the faint of heart. We spent the evening on a sunset cruise on the Appledore out of Camden harbor. It was fabulous! Our stay was too short but totally enjoyable.

Loved the restaurants and the variety of little shops.

Loved the restaurants and the variety of little shops. Getting around Belfast was VERY easy. I went on a boat with my friends to see the Puffins nesting on an Island (Iam a birder) and got some terrific pics. Also saw several enormous SUNFISH in the water on the trip and several SEALS. I love all the garden flowers in the neiborhoods and the wildflowers everywhere.

There are not enough nights to visit all the very good restaurants. Fabulous Maine coastal sights are all around within a short distance. Belfast is a sophisticated town with a long maritime history.

Nice little unique shops to explore and a good variety of restaurants to dine in. Once parked, it’s easy walking with cozy coffee shops for lounging. This is my second time visiting Belfast and in the warmer seasons having dinner or a drink right on the water is fantastic!

If we had been able to stay longer than 2 nights, and been able to drive to surrounding areas, which were all over another hour plus drive away, we would have enjoyed it more, but we were there for 2 nights and after driving 9 hours to get there, didn't have the energy or time to drive further so we stayed put. Loved the little beach and the adorable house we were in, but driving all that way to sit in the house for 2 days just didn't feel like much of a vacation to me. We also couldn't find scallops anywhere, which was shocking. Lobster rolls cost almost fifty bucks, which is crazy, so we just ate what we brought, essentially camped in a very nice little house. Loved Colonial Gables, but as far as Belfast, not impressed.

It was worth the money all the way around.

It was worth the money all the way around. There are a lot of abandoned homes/buildings that weren't being kept up. It would be nice if someone would at least cut the grass around them. Unkept lawns are a pet peeve of mine. Colonial Gables is a great place to stay. I loved our cabin.

Don't judge this book by its cover! It does not look like much from the outside. However, the rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Also, it is a short walk to the awesome pedestrian bridge that brings you to downtown Belfast. I was very happy with my stay.

Breakfast was wonderful, the staff were fabulous, helpful and attentive. I wish I could have adjusted my thermostat. I sleep at 65 degrees and unfortunately didn't get much sleep. But otherwise, would make this my go to when in Belfast!!
