FranceWe had an absolutely amazing stay at this resort. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was exceptional — a special thank you to Olga at the front desk, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and full of great advice. The whole place is truly wonderful. We stayed in a very comfortable apartment with a stunning view of the bay. Watching the sunset from the beach was simply magical.
The pool is lovely, and there’s also a great selection of restaurants where we ate very well. You can relax, swim, play tennis, enjoy delicious food, and admire breathtaking sunsets — everything you need for a perfect getaway. Having both the beach and the pool to choose from made it even better. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

United KingdomBeautiful resort with lovely staff who are always willing to help. The whole place from beach to pool never seemed crowded or busy. Great to have bikes, which we made daily use of, for getting out and exploring. Our room was comfortable and clean and very peaceful at night. Great location with a lovely onsite restaurant and beach bar with many restaurants easily reachable by car or bike. Lovely beach for long walks.

Captiva is a charming town that is very walkable.
Captiva is a charming town that is very walkable. The beach is also beautiful. There a a few restaurants but little shopping so come prepared to do outdoor activities or read by the pool. It is not a location for nightlife.

Captiva is beautiful and so is the South Seas resort- but this condo although part of S. Seas- it is not treated as the other properties are at the resort. I think South Seas wishes they didn't have to deal with it- as I kept hearing-' That condo has nothing to do with us'
They treated it as the black sheep/ red headed step child of the family- loud maintenance work each day/ repaving of the lot/ and the pool area was neglected (clean enough but so scarce and plain- can we get a landscaper or some decorator in to give it some LIFE)
Thank goodness the folks at Rosen properties are cognizant and polite- to apologize for the issues- hopefully they can make this place more desirable!

The beach was lovely.
The beach was lovely. The grounds were pretty, but the accommodations were dirty. We were hit with suprise extra fees upon arrival. They don't take cash. The staff was friendly, but we could not get help when we needed it.

Captiva is a beautiful spot.
Captiva is a beautiful spot. Lovely beaches and nice places to eat, plenty of wildlife. Great for boating and nature photography. We spent three days there, but easily could have stayed a week. We arranged a private condo rental from a realty company. It was a one bedroom Bayside Villa at the South Seas resort. We didn't love the condo, but the resort was nice and we had beach and pool access. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants on the resort, so I can't review those. We enjoyed Old Captiva House, where we had a marvelous dinner and even returned the next morning for an equally good breakfast. We ate one night at the Bubble Room and that was great fun. Their cake is divine and it's worth a visit for the fun decor and kitsch. We did the dolphin cruise out of McCarthy's Marina and that was fun. We did see dolphins and at the docks and from the beach we also saw manatees galore! Nice spot for shelling at Blind Man's pass. We visited Ding Darling Refuge (Sanibel/Captiva) and it's worth a visit. If you want to see more birds, visit early morning and at low tide. The only thing that detracted from our stay were the no see-ums. We got devoured our last morning at Turner's Beach/Blind Man's Pass. So bring some repellent and wear it. You can't see them, but they're there and quite vicious! I'm still scratching a week later...

Perfect location. Right on the beach. The condo was larger than expected and had everything we needed. The property staff was very quick to reply if we had questions. Looking forward to another stay.
