Alpenglow Retreat offers accommodations in Mount Crested Butte. All rooms include a TV. You will find a coffee machine in the room. Each room comes with a private bathroom. We stayed here 2 nights when we were mountain biking. The accommodation was fantastic, the best of our whole trip. There was just the 2 of us so there was so much space, fabulously comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was a real treat. If you were mountain biking or skiiing the location is spot on. Check in and out was so easy with the lock boxes, and laundry on site was a big help.

Coming in the off season (May) was wonderful. The town was so quiet and peaceful. Dining options were limited, but the restaurants that were open offered tasty meals and cocktails. This is not the time to come if you’re into mountain biking or trail hiking, as trails were all still snow covered. We enjoyed some scenic walks, though, and were able to truly relax and enjoy our stay.
Love CB! The food, skiing, hiking, biking are fab. The locals are very nice for the most part. Good luck finding a decent spot to have breakfast slope-side though, plenty of room for improvement there for sure. The buses that run from the village to town are convenient. I'd like to spend lots more time here.
An incredible mountain and great town. Will be returning in the future for sure. Spent two days riding the resort and stayed at Old Town Inn for one night. The Inn was great especially for the price. I suggest trying the Ryder Burger from The Last Steep Bar and Grille for a fantastic post-ski/ride meal.
Crested Butte has a great vibe in town with local shops and restaurants. Mt. Crested Butte has less of that local shopping, but still, some and restaurants are a little more spread out. Skiing is awesome, little steeper than many other Colorado ski resorts, so not best for a true beginner / first time skier. Great runs and snow, beautiful skiing. Less crowded than many other resorts, shorter lines and more relaxed. Also love it in the summer for hiking, biking, arts, and music festivals. Great town all around.
We were one of the fortunate visitors to plan our stay when the mountain got over 26” of fresh snow within 48 hours by Sunday morning. So to say the skiing was phenomenal is an understatment. The town below was perfectly quaint to grab a bite to eat each night as well, definitely check out Elk Avenue Prime!
Crested Butte has beautifully Mountain View’s and trails. Lots of snow which was perfect for skiing snd snowshoeing. Town has great restaurants and shops. Highly recommend Paradise Cafe. Dinner at Marchitellis was delicious. Drinks and lunch at Public House was so relaxing.
