The staff was extremely warm and welcoming, and as a solo female traveler, they were very kind and did a few things to make me feel safe, such as not telling me my room number out loud but rather showing me on paper. Very comfortable bed too.

We were so pleased to find this house.

We were so pleased to find this house. The pictures do not do it justice. It is beautiful and comfortable and the whole group really loved it. The backyard was amazing and we loved sitting out on the patio. I would highly recommend.

Have always stayed at Danvers due to its ready access to roads and train in Salem going to spots I want to Visit - Boston, Gloucester, Rockport, Marblehead etc. Haven’ really visited Danvers, actually. Used to stay at nearby Towneplace Suites which has changed hands and brand. Have stayed at several other Best Western Plus hotels and found them nice. These facilities and especially the staff made this stay enjoyable.Really impressed with the staff who all seemed very happy to be working there and wanted to help however they could. Highly recommend the Duckboat tour in Boston, 7 Seas Whaleboat tour in Gloucester, Freedom Trail, History walking tour in Salem, visiting Marblehead, JFK Library, Acquarium, overdosing on cannolis, Italian food in North End- the list is endless.

It was away from busy Salem and in a nice quiet area.

It was away from busy Salem and in a nice quiet area. A short commute to Salem each day to enjoy the attractions. We ate at Turner Seafood in Salem and Red's Sandwich Shop and both were excellent. Ask for the history of both locations. Red's was particularly interesting! It was pretty darn handy to have Target just across the parking lot. The flowers on the hotel property were gorgeous and burgeoning at the end of August. Parking was easy and I appreciated that it was free. It sounds like Sonesta is jumping on the bandwagon and will be charging $5-/day for parking, which is a shame since their parking is so prevalent and they are 20 minutes away from the main attraction, which is Salem.

Danvers is very close to Salem and the accommodations at Sonesta were fantastic. We were so close we decided to Uber/Lift back and forth to the hotel. We were right next door to a shopping center/Mall/restaurants. We definitely would recommend staying in Danvers.

A great jumping off point is you are a history buff.

A great jumping off point is you are a history buff. Danvers was the historic Salem Village in the 16th, early 17th century, They changed the name when township was granted and to try to get away from the bad press of the witchcraft events.

Very friendly, helpful front desk staff. Our room was quite large, very clean and comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast was good and varied for this type of hotel. We didn't use the pool but it looked very clean and well maintained. Lots of on site parking.

The shower had good water pressure & temperature. The location is decent for shopping & about a 15 min drive from Essex Street in Salem. It's a dog friendly hotel. These are the only reasons it gets any stars.
