Located in Escalante, within 2.2 miles of Escalante and 5.4 miles of Escalante Municipal Airport, Yonder Escalante Luxury Glamping has accommodations with a garden and free WiFi as well as free... Loved the location and the property was really beautiful. My little cabin was just as described, and the shared bath house facilities were very nice - equipped with outdoor showers! The breakfast muffins and coffee were great to start off the day pre-hiking, and the hot tub was the perfect spot to relax afterwards. Also was a fan of the "drive-in" movies.
Featuring free WiFi, this inn is 5 minutes’ drive from Escalante Petrified Forest State Park. Each themed room offers a patio with a view and a flat-screen cable TV. The room is spacious and clean and the design is very cool too. Self check in process was very smooth too.
Located in Escalante, within a 10-minute walk of Escalante and 3.6 miles of Escalante Municipal Airport, Ponderosa Inn has accommodations with barbecue facilities and free WiFi as well as free private... Beautiful room with high ceiling, and a charming decor. Excellent fast wifi. Excellent shower. Even though there was no microwave oven in the room, there was one in the common room which is plenty enough. Inn is not right on main street, so it is less noisy than most motel.
Set in Escalante, Slot Canyons Inn Bed & Breakfast has a restaurant, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi. Free private parking is available on site. Oh this is the best place to stay in Escalante. The breakfast is exceptional made by the host and is at least $20 per head with fresh apricots, home made jam and good coffee even during pandemic. Room and bed are comfortable. You can see the stars from this place as it's far from the main town. Great place. Would love to go back.

Canyons Bed & Breakfast in Escalante has barbecue facilities and a garden. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Free WiFi is included. The perfect B&B. The garden is beautiful and patio is very relaxing to spend time in. The room itself is super cozy, newly renovated and very clean. Everything is very tastefully done. I cannot stress enough how much effort Julie and Dan put to make your stay awesome: they know the area like the back of their hands, and they will give you awesome advice on where to go and when. This is a cozy luxury stay in Escalante. As good as it gets
Lovely little town on scenic highway 12, east of Bryce Canyon National Park. Close to very picturesque Burr Trail road (no need for 4x4!), Devil's Backbone bridge over the gorge, and other attractions. Decent food choices (although the corner bar in nearby Boulder - 30 minute drive? towards Burr Trail - is better.
There are so many things to see and do in the area plan to stay at least a couple days. The calf creek lower falls hike is a must do. Allow for at least 4 hours (it's about 8 miles round trip but one of the nicest hikes I've been on and the waterfall at the end of the trail is well worth the hike. Also drive the entire length of hwy 12, it's awesome!
Very small town with limited restaurants. We went for just one Saturday night in early May for a wedding and the town was pretty empty. There are only a few restaurants in town to begin with and on Sunday morning they were either closed or they didn’t serve breakfast. There was literally not one place to get anything more than a coffee. Even the grocery store was closed. We ended up driving to Tropic to get breakfast on our way home.
Charming tiny town. The Inn was quirky but lovely. We had GREAT pizza at restaurant across the street from the Inn and a good breakfast at a little restaurant the following morning. Friendly service everywhere.
Escalante needs to grow. Dining facilities were limited. I understand the size of Escalante makes grocery store impractical, but a small grocery store would have been nice. My grandmother was born and raised in Escalante so I have hope for the future there.
The Grand Staircase Monument is huge and requires planning to learn how to access the diverse features. Make sure to speak with the Staff at the local Visitor Center who will make the planning more focused for you. For example, some sights require a 4 wheel vehicle while others can be easily accessed with any vehicle.
This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay if you’re visiting Escalante or driving between Zion or Bryce and Moab/capital Reef. This was my second stay, and it was just as good as the first. Beautiful property/view with cows, horses and wild turkeys in the fields. The breakfast are excellent and the owners extremely nice. I plan to come back every time I’m in Southern Utah!
a comfortable bed and breakfast in the middle of the small town of Escalante. We could walk to all the main restaurants, bars, bank, and grocery store in town. The room had beautiful log beds and the skylight made it easy to wake up early and get put into the Escalante countryside. Coffee, tea and homemade muffins also made it easy to get out and explore the beautiful region.
The complimentary pastries from Mimi’s were incredible. Best baked goods ever! The microwave and fridge were handy and we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the fridge. It was an excellent location to access both Bryce and the trails in Escalante. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very cute and could tell alot of thought went into decorations. Host was very friendly and accomadating. Was strange that we had to pay in advance for entire price of the room when making reservation..... on 15 day road trip and this was the only hotel that required that.
Great room. We chose a few ‘smaller’ hotels/cabins on our trip. This was by far the nicest (We were in the ‘Little Joe’ room) and a good price! Self-check-in had me a little concerned, but it was easy and we were extremely pleased with the accommodations!
This place is wonderful. So much better and cheaper than under the canvas. The cabins are adorable, the bathrooms and showers are so nice. The extra perks like a classic car drive in is so cool. I highly recommend staying here.
The staff was very helpful and attentive. Everything was very clean. I absolutely love Canyon Country Lodge. I will definitely stay there next time I’m in Escalante.
Breakfast was amazing. Proprietors we’re so helpful in helping us plan our days to take advantage of all the beautiful things to see and go in the escalante area.
Personal touch of the owners. Felt like a home away from home. Jan made great suggestions about excursions and restaurants in the Escalante area.
