We came to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and not only were we upgraded to a nicer hotel room, but they left us a card, some treats, and mentioned it to us throughout our stay. The entire staff was helpful and authentic and kind. Thanks especially to Zoe Twilight and the waitstaff. All of you made our trip memorable and we felt so welcome.

I had a really good experience at this hotel. We had a full bedroom separated from the living area (which includes a separate bed) and a kitchenette. We also had a patio looking out to a very quiet, serene yard. It was very clean. Only drawback we could hear people waling upstairs. It doesn't bother me very much but if you are bothered by it, just request an upstairs room

Our sense of peace was immediate. My highly driven husband fell asleep on the super comfy bed for an afternoon nap - never happens! An Inn with so much heart & old world service - we were treated with such friendliness, courtesy & care by Claudia & family. I loved feeding their goats & llamas. Our check-in day was dreary, cold, and wet so we asked the manager if we could possiblly check in earlier. She came out to the property and reset the digital lock for our early check-in. Our smartly modern and spotless suite, wih leather sofa, fireplace, turned out to be a very cozy and comfortabe place to spend the afternoon! It was stocked with thoughtfull chosen, high quality ammenities and appliances. The locaction is right across from the ferry landing, amidst all the restuarnts and shops downtown. This was a perfect place for us to stay.

Saturn's Return was an absolute sanctuary. Emma & Wiley put so much thought into their guest experience. We felt immediately at home upon arrival. Moments of peacefulness and bliss were felt from sun up to sun down! Friday Harbor is beautiful and charming and everything you need is accessible within walking distance. We did have a car and drove to Duck Soup for Dinner (strong recommend!) , the Sculpture Garden and American Camp for hiking.

Friday Harbor is an adorable waterfront town.

Friday Harbor is an adorable waterfront town. There are many things to do there including whale watching, kayak rentals, bike rentals, farmers market on the weekend and many cute shops and restaurants. The whale museum is a fun place to stop, and Kings has great sandwiches for a picnic at the waterfront. There are nice picnic tables near the marina and also an ice cream shop near the ferry dock.

It is beautiful, with a few restaurants and coffee shops that allow you to watch people while sitting in the shade. There is a farmer's market and art shops, as well as outdoor activities, like bicycle tours, boat trips, kayaking, if you want.

We loved the island experience!

We loved the island experience! We were glad we took our car on the ferry so we could explore the variety of the island--Cattle Point Light house, Lime Kiln Light house, Roche harbor flag ceremony complete with cannon!

Become familiar with the ferry schedules and procedures. The Ferry workers are great. You can visit other islands but you need to know the system. Lots of whale watching tours out of Friday Harbor. I didn't know about the "The Pig War" visit English camp and American camp and learn a tidbit of US/British history.

Friday Harbor is a sleepy town which rolls the streets up...

Friday Harbor is a sleepy town which rolls the streets up early. Many eateries close very early. Even the grocery store closes around 7. The scenery was gorgeous! Make sure you take the inter-island ferry and check out Orcas Island while you're here. Be prepared to pay a much higher price for food on the island. I would suggest staying where you can cook you own meals and bringing food with you from the mainland.

I got an upgrade to a queen room due to my long stay. The room was still small, but was sufficient for one person. The staff is friendlier than usually in this type of hotels (have visited several). The price compared to other accommodations in Friday Harbor is good. And yes, you can easily walk from the hotel to the centre of FH. There is also a big supermarket next to the hotel plus a bakery and another food store selling local stuff on the other side of the road.

A great base to explore Friday Harbor and San Juan. It is a 10 minute walk from the Ferry. Great communication from the owners. The apartment is well equipped however there is no kettle (but we are English so fully understand that coffee is a preference)
