This hotel has been subject to a refurbishment with redecorating of rooms.and new furniture, including big smart TV with Netflix and Prime, a large fridge freezer and microwave. The room is made into a bedroom/kitchen/vanity area with a bath/shower and toilet off it. Not a professional job by the looks. It's fine, but clearly been done by non tradesmen in part, such as the painting. Bed comfy and quiet Aircon unit, which is new also. To be fair, this is a reasonably priced hotel and with a recent update. Very clean room and serviced daily with fresh towels and bed re made which is good. We did have to ask for extra soaps as only one small hotel bar supplied.

I always receive exceptional and friendly service. My stay is always a very easy going experience, comfortable, affordable and enjoyable. They have very clean rooms, fresh clean linen and plentiful towels and toiletries. Plus, the showers are very nice and very modern. I recommend the deluxe room, especially for couples, or more.

I love the food, restaurants, very glad to see it so busy in historic district on a weekday night that parking was hard to find. Happy to hear first Fridays are going well according to a young resident I met. Always enjoyed the history & hospitality of area, beautiful historic buildings and homes. Always has puzzled me though to also see many sad looking vacant or run down buildings and houses in an area with so much cool history, culture and potential.

I come to Miami and Globe every year.

I come to Miami and Globe every year. My husband's family is from here and I love to visit. They have antique stores, historic buildings and the Mexican food here is super delicious. I also love to visit the cemetery in Winkleman. This place is a small town but oh so lovely. So many nooks and crannies everywhere you go from Globe to Payson to Showlow to Superior etc etc.

Interesting stop in you're in the area.

Interesting stop in you're in the area. Good spots for down-home cooking: Judy's Cookhouse & The Copper Bistro. Don't miss Besh-Ba-Gowah museum! Red Roof Inn in Miami, AZ may look humble but rooms were SPOTLESS, I'd stay there again. Choose ground floor if you don't do stairs.

It was historic and looked that way.

It was historic and looked that way. In other words it was authentic and a bit run down - kind of like Jerome and Bisby. Its on the way to Rosevelt Lake and the Apache Trail which is something to behold.

This was our first visit to Globe and the surrounding area.

This was our first visit to Globe and the surrounding area. Its a charming mix of history, mining, rustic and contemporary. Between nearby Superior, Miami, Claypool and Globe, there is plenty of available food and shopping. An absolute must-see while in Globe is the Besh-Ba-Gowah Archaeological Park and Museum. It was once home to the Salado people. Watch an interesting 12 minute orientation video about the history of the location, then into the adjacent gift shop and museum which houses an amazing collection of artifacts excavated from the site. The archaeological site itself is just steps away. Restrooms are available and entry is adults $5, Seniors $4, kids under 12 free.

I go to Globe often for work so I don't like go around seeing what to do for fun or anything like that. I do know some things and that is the food in the little restaurants they have are good. The newest (probably only) sushi spot is great and also the owner also runs a pizza joint right next door to the sushi spot. The Mexican restaurants are pretty good and then your basics fast food is also present. Also just west of Globe is a town of Miami which you pass before going into Globe from the 60 has good Mexican places also and not far off the 60. Miami places to try The Burger House and Guayo's El Rey. Globe places to try El Rey, Irene's Real Mexican Food, La Casita East, Bloom (sushi) and Guayo's On The Trail.

It is difficult to completely renovate an old building like this but the owner has tried. New paint, doors, windows and some bathroom fittings. So everything worked fine. But the drainage was an issue. The place is also a good 20-25minutes walk from the 'centre' of town. But Globe isn't much these days. We needed accommodation here and were glad to have it. But compared to other places in bigger towns it was overpriced for what it was. But that's small towns for you. Only two roaches though
