This hotel is close to local attractions and businesses. Grand Haven State Park, Lake Michigan Beach, downtown Grand Haven, the Tri-Cities Historical Museum, Michigan's Adventure amusement park and... We really enjoyed our stay. Bob and his staff are great. We stayed at the Rodeway Inn last year and can fully recommend it.

The “Social District” was interesting. Many shops within walking distance from the Grand Haven River. Make sure you attend the Sunday evening religious music at the amphitheater. The Musical Water Fountain presentation. There is a free trolley that departs from the waterfront.
Super great place for a day trip! Plenty of public parking if you choose to drive. The boardwalk is super cute! Watching the musical fountain was relaxing, although there was no music when we went ( it was the first day it was running, so it might have has something to do with that). The state park was cool, but when we went it was cold and windy. On a sunny hot day, it would have been perfect for a beach day! There are also lots of cool places to shop and eat. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed eating at the Toasted Pickle and grabbing a beer at Oddside! There are lots of places to stay that are within driving distance of downtown, so it’s easy to make a cheap overnight vacation as well.
Really nice town, a couple of blocks downtown with old style feel. I loved it, brought in unique gifts and talents of locals. I would highly recommend. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Traffic light in winter, easy to get around. Grand Haven has everything you need to feel at home.
Cute, waterfront downtown. Many thing were closed or had shortened hours/less staff due to COVID. We enjoyed the beach and walking down the waterfront path looking at the boats. Ice cream should not be missed! Beach is awesome but they are renovating bathroom area. There are porta-johns.
Nice little town for a relaxing two day visit. Very friendly locals, but not enough to do for more than a couple of days visit. Visited the local museum, which is small, and the lake and the harbor and the beach and light house. The music fountain is open only on Friday through Monday when we were not there. There are limited number of restaurants on Washington avenue and the wait time was 30-45 minutes to get a table for outside seating. They all lack proper ventilation and exhaust, the kitchen smell permeates all through the restaurant, which is nauseating and could trigger allergy or asthma for some people, so avoid indoor dining in normal times and especially in this pandemic. Ate at a road side ' gyro' kiosk once and inside another restaurant on second day as that was the only place we could find without a wait time. Most offer you contactless menu and payment option by allowing you to scan their QR code posted on their menu or on their display window. City is dead by 9-10pm. Wouldn't want to live here for that reason.
I love Grand Haven and have family there but the trip was for a funeral. Not a happy time but very strange with the covid 19. I feel the church the pastor and the funeral home all handled the situation with great care and follow all the rules they could with social distancing.
Very clean pool and hot tub. Nice outdoor area to relax. Room was clean, plenty of hangars. At check-in, we were offered and accepted an ungrade to a room on 2nd floor of main building, instead of 2nd floor of the building out back, furthest away from the main hotel unit. No price increase. As seniors, this was very appreciated!
I liked the location being to near to the beach & the shopping district downtown. I had an event to do a small bit of planning for a couple of the days of my trip & had been very closely to my son who lives in Grand Haven.
