Located in the heart of Lana'i City, this historic hotel offers stylish guest rooms with free WiFi. A daily breakfast is provided to guests. I was recently blessed with the opportunity to visit and spend the night on Lana'i. The hotel is amazing. I will describe it as a place of simplistic elegance. The song Hallelujah written by Leonard Cohen sung by K.D. Lang ran through my mind and iPhone (lol). As I rocked on the chairs on the stunning lanai, I was transported back to an age of innocence. My inner child connected to the beauty of small town living and a sense of community. This island taught me some very powerful and beautiful lessons. I'm humble to have had the opportunity to come visit. The staff was gentle and gracious which amplified the resonance of peace and understanding. If life brings you close, and you have the opportunity to visit. GO FOR IT. I am certainly glad my Aunty K and big sistuh Trish were with me. I feel blessed. Mahalo. Aloha.
Located ocean-side on Lāna‘i, Four Seasons Resort Lana'i features views of the Pacific Ocean and lush gardens. We played tennis everyday and the tennis pro, Ryan Winters was amazing! Such a great positive attitude! Also great were Sheila and Heidi who worked at the tennis facility!
Located directly on Ka'anapali Beach, moments from downtown Lahaina, Kaanapali Alii features free WiFi, spacious condominium-style accommodations with fully-equipped modern kitchens and an outdoor... Fantastic views! Amazing location! Can't wait to go back.
Located on the beach, Marriott's Maui Ocean Club - Molokai, Maui & Lanai Towers features a 3.5-acre pool, full-service spa and each suite provides private balconies or lanais. Beautiful view of the pools/palm trees/ocean with stunning sunsets each night. Lots of activities within the hotel. Hammocks to lay on outside by the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely loved the free toiletries we got in our room so went to the onsite shop and bought a few to take back home.
Charming little city, but unfortunately only 2 little shops with souvenirs and this and that. A few small art galleries, and really nothing more, except the Lanai Hotel(exceptional). The hotel has a fabulous free breakfast, and dinner service after 5pm with a small fun bar open till 10pm.The manager Sarah truly cares about your experience at the hotel. Our dinner was overseen by Teresa, who was a real joy, and explained the menu and also shared some fun conversation. Food, the island venison lovely, cocktails well done and all prices surprisingly reasonable. We rented a jeep from the rental agency a block away and toured the island, and when done drop the keys with the hotel and off you go.What service....Made 2 new friends in a short time and loved the hotel, newly remodeled and all state of the art in a small lovely plantation setting. THANK YOU AGAIN SARAH,YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL..... Unless you love to throw money away, stay away from the Four Seasons..we stopped for cocktails and some ambiance, and found nothing but a high bar bill and a bartender with the personality of a rock, very disappointing for rates of well over 1000.00 per night....and I ended up telling the guys the World series scores as they came in on my cell phone...no TV at the casual pool bar...???.....The Hotel Lanai made our stay memorable all in all. Lovely ferry ride back to Maui. Nice beach by the ferry for swimming and snorkeling, and short walk to the 4 Seasons. Ma-halo Hotel Lanai
The most friendly isle I have ever been to! People wave at each other when driving by and don't be surprise when strangers tell you "Hi!" like they know you! It is a small town with no Starbucks or Mcdonalds. It was a perfect place to get away from everything and have my kids enjoy "Hawaii". Our favorite place to visit was the Lanai Cat Sanctuary, it was enjoyable for the whole family! It's free to play with all the cats so bring some kitty treats, toys, or some $ for the donation box and help support this wonderful organization. If you love animals, don't forget to visit the mini horses too! We bought some carrots from Pine Market and drove to the ranch to feed the horses. The horses and donkeys will run right up to you when they see the carrots in your hand. My kids really enjoyed feeding them!
Lanai is a great location if you are just looking to relax and enjoy nature. It's not super touristy. Most the locals were surprised that we were staying for 6 days. People often do day trips from Maui. Lanai City has a few nice restaurants and markets and a good coffee shop. You'll need to rent a 4 wheel drive car/jeep if you want to get around to most of the sights on the island. The cultural center has a free app called Lanai Guide that is critical for finding historical spots and natural beauty. You'll need the map feature to find most of the roads which are unmarked and dirt paths. Great stay for the adventurer/explorer!
It is quiet, clean and friendly and offers a very mellow and slow pace. The people are very friendly and it is beautiful and serene. If you want to go explore the island you definitely need to rent a car and the best would be to rent a 4x4. I think the island offers some cool trails to hike or even better yet bike but you need a car to get to them. There is not much to do in Lana’i city so it’s ideal if you are just looking for a quiet getaway for a night or two. We liked the restaurant and bar and it offers great drinks and quality food. The experience was not what we expected and it was a nice change of pace from the busier Maui.
It was a shame that the roads were washed out, so unable to visit the sites mentioned in the magazine article on Lanai. We ate at the Blue Ginger cafe and enjoyed the authentic feel and the food. We also visited the Mike Caroll art gallery which was beautiful. We walked to the Lodge and enjoyed seeing the massive remodeling project connected with it.

Everything about your hotel was lovely. We only stayed one night because we paddled over from Maui for the Pacific Cancer foundation “paddle for life“.
