This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The customer service was extremely poor, and the condition of the property was unacceptable. Our shower curtain had mold on it, and there were no towels available, forcing us to go out and purchase our own. The pool was filthy, with dirt settled across the bottom, and a chair sat in the pool for several days without being removed, making it obvious that the area wasn't being properly maintained. I spoke with a staff member named Ruby, but she was unable or unwilling to help. She told me she could not provide any management or corporate contact information. What was most disappointing was her lack of concern about the issues we were experiencing. Some may say I should have relocated, but that simply wasn't a realistic option. I was in town attending a funeral with five children, all 9 years old and under, so moving to another hotel would have been extremely difficult. Based on my experience, I would not stay at this property again, nor would I recommend it to others.

We travel to Marlin every six months. We enjoy the hamburgers at the Lakeview restaurant. The city of Marlin itself is very depressing. A great many empty dirty looking storefronts downtown. It is very obvious that a great many of the folks who live here are just barely surviving.
