Located on Orcas Island in Deer Harbor, Washington, this holiday home features an on-site restaurant and a hot tub. Free Wi-Fi access is available in this holiday home. Our cottage was very spacious and had a large living room/dining room with a full kitchen. Lovely wrap around deck with peekabo water view. BBQ on deck for anyone who wants to utilize it. Water pressure and hot water were great (water is a little soft, so bring your own drinking water). Large soaking tub plus a stand up shower. Master suite was very nice, nice bed; second bedroom was serviceable size. Wish we had the time to take advantage of the private hot tub that was attached to our sunroom - bring your bathing suit! Deer were regular visitors, and it was fun to watch them. The option of booking a massage on the property was great - very nice massage! There is a very nice restaurant on the property as well, just make sure to make reservations if you want to eat outside on the deck! Food was delicious and locally sourced. Beautiful retreat, with all the cottages spread out so you had privacy.
The resturants in East sound were great! we loved the White Horse Pub and The EDge at OUtlook Inn. THe food at Roserios was ok, The salmon was good but the Halibut was a disappointment in the recipe how it was paired with the rice. Hard to find a public access to beach areas, up on the north part was a good public spot by airport.
Beautiful location near ferry but still quiet and tranquil. Great water view, friendly staff, quaint atmosphere . Furnishings were antique, grounds were lovely. Good restaurant on premise. Very clean and in good working order.
Eastshore is very busy. Orcas is beloved by tourists. It is hard to get to a beach, even if you go to a State Park. The potteries and Art studios are superb. I loved the Art co-op in Olga. If you don't stay at the Orcas Hotel, at least make sure you dine there. It was an adventure.
leave your car on the mainland and hop on island ferryboat that will drop you off within 100yards of a national registered inn of superior quality offering meals in nice café and great evening dining room. no need to go anywhere till coming back home.
