SwitzerlandFirst time here and this place really rocks! So modern and professional. Staffs were friendly and hospitable. Room was spacious and nicely furnished with king bed and all the toilet amenities. Facilities provided (pool and gym) were great for some relaxing. The bar area came with wide spread of stuff to be purchased freely at anytime. The lobby lounge area was super chill, even with great live music! The free shuttle bus service to/from airport was essential and nice thought out. In short, I had a fantastic stay!

it was a quaint little spot with lots to explore and only fifteen minutes from Half moon bay. Our hotel was a block away from the Ocean on Rock way Beach.. I will definitely go back aǹd spend more time exploring

A quaint beach community with ocean-featured public art. Makes for a fun walk and sightseeing around town. The marine layer makes for a cool microclimate, so make sure to bring a jacket, especially during the summer. As Mark Twain stated, "The coldest winter he spent was a summer in San Francisco."

The ambience is great. We stayed at the Pacific Beach Hotel.
The ambience is great. We stayed at the Pacific Beach Hotel. It's very peaceful, right across from the beach and the locals are friendly and chill. There's tons of places to eat and explore in walking distance, whether you want to chill at the beach, go on a hike or just watch the sunset. My wife and I watched the sunset from our balcony every evening.
Down the road, if you follow the beach trail there are restaurants, coffee spots, and a shopping center for groceries and other things. We went to Burger Board by the beach and if you like big juicy burgers and a beer, that's your spot.
On the opposite side is a shopping center called near Rockaway Beach. Literally a 5 min or less drive from the hotel. There is this wonderful eatery called Nick's Rockaway which is a restaurant and bar. The food is amazing and our server Armando really went out of his way to make sure we selected the best dishes. Also you can see the sunset from the window. The steak was amazing. And my wife loved the chocolate cake.
Great for couples who want a quiet getaway.

Pacifica was not our target for the trip - it was a last...
Pacifica was not our target for the trip - it was a last minute need for a hotel room and it was the nearest. It's a wild bit of coastline with big waves and rocks - so lively, perhaps not for swimming/putzing around. I personally love a wild coastline (I even have a PhD in wild coastlines, so not prejudiced against them at all). The town is fine. We had trouble finding anywhere to get caffeine after 6pm and ended up walking to the McDonald's way out the end of the town, which was not ideal, but at least we had the option and got some exercise.
It is a good central spot to get around the peninsula.

Pacifica is not really a destination place but it's a fine...
Pacifica is not really a destination place but it's a fine little town, broken up into 3 different areas that really can only be reached by car. We were lucky enough to time it so that the weekly Farmer's Market was on while we were there. The walking trails from the beach were nice and not too difficult and we were able to walk up to the top of the hills. We were really bummed the local bowling alley had closed a few years earlier which we didn't realize until after wee began our stay.

I've been to many nice hotels. PBH was the best.
I've been to many nice hotels. PBH was the best. It was the best 35 years ago. It is the best still, Although I could not afford to stay that time, I imagined what it is like to stay in that hotel.
I finally realized my dream 35 years later.

I wasn't sure what to expect given the mixed reviews and was pleased we stuck with this choice. Our room was spacious and pristine, the hotel was quiet. It is near the centre of Pacifica yet a few miles from the beach and most restaurants. There was no breakfast of course but we did use the coffee maker in the room. We were pleased that the reception staff allowed us to leave our car there after we checked out.

The hotel is located in front of the beach park. We have a bright and clean room with a balcony. The area is also nice and quiet. We enjoyed coffee from the machine in the lobby. Overall we had a good experience!

Parking was in the hotel car park and not on a street although there was a 10$ a day cost. It had views of the ocean although the beach was poor.
