Parowan is a friendly little town that we consider as a gateway to outdoor adventures all year round. We love Brian Head Ski resort, Mountain View Lodge and Bistro (great Chinese food) and Hamburger Patty’s.
This is a very small town in the middle of nowhere with limited services. The one business we visited was the grocery store and the staff were helpful and friendly there. Mostly you stay here for the surroundings.
Some of the museums and attractions closed. A lady let us in to the Jesse n Smith historic adobe home after we called for appointment. The heritage park was also interesting to see. The rock features up the canyon were inspiring The parowan gap and dinosaur footprints were also interesting
Parowan its self seams like a nice place. Location is great to get up to Cedar Breaks and Navajo Lake.. The fall colors were awesome and we had a great time in the mountains. Your choice for eating establishments is few and far between. Would recommend the 7 mile drive to Cedar City.
Parowan is a beautiful quite little town at the bottom of a beautiful ski resort and summer time fun Brian Head. The town is very friendly and clean. There is a great barber shop located in the middle of town that is soon to get a new building and a women's salon. Not to mention the great lake located up the canyon called Yankee Meadows. Great camping and fishing. Parowan is a Great place to stop and visit on the way north on the I15. Parowan is the heart of the Iron County and has much history.
