TRYP by Wyndham Pittsburgh/Lawrenceville, hotel in Pittsburgh

Located in Pittsburgh, 2.6 miles from University of Pittsburgh, TRYP by Wyndham Pittsburgh/Lawrenceville provides accommodations with a fitness center, private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Quiet room, good temperature control and insulation. The toilet doesn't offer a lot of privacy -- there's just a sliding door separating it from the shower and there is no door to the shower / toilet area. We had the micro-queen room. The bed was on the soft side and there wasn't a lot of room on either side of it (and only one nighttable). The neighborhood is very fun and it was easy to check in and out and to get street parking on the weekend.

Such a fun city filled with hidden gems.

Such a fun city filled with hidden gems. Amazing night life, incredibly fun activities even for winter time like pop up saunas and the botanical gardens. In winter time you might considering renting a car as it will make your life much easier. Nothing is farther than 15 min drive - except for the airport If you’re looking for a unique nightlife experience, go to Bar 11. Don’t Google it, just go. You’ll thank me later

The Hyatt boasts a beautiful location, and the lounge near the bar provides a wonderful atmosphere to relax and unwind. While the $20 per day parking fee offers a secure place for our vehicle, navigating the narrow entry and exit roads proved to be a bit challenging. During breakfast, a member of the food service team (wearing a black cap and mustache) was quite assertive in directing how guests selected and toasted their bread. This constant observation made for an uncomfortable dining experience. Additionally, the dining table near the window had a greasy and dusty base, which appeared to be in need of cleaning. Regarding housekeeping, it seemed that bedroom cleaning and bed-making were only available twice in the past two days. Finally, the dried grapes in the nuts section had an off-putting odor and seemed stale.

Very nice city, with a rich history. Great museums. Went for the first time to the Warhol Museum and learned a lot about Andy Warhol. Visited the Nationality Rooms at Cathedral of Learning, Heinz Chapel, and St. Paul’s Church—an enormous gothic structure.

Saw all the museums, Penguin hockey, Steeler football and loved it all. The only complaint I would have is that you don't know if the bridges are pedestrian friendly. None of the signs and maps tell you that detail. We had bikes and walked a lot.

Great things to do in the city.

Great things to do in the city. We did the aviary, having a sloth experience and feeding Larikeets. Spent the afternoon at Andy Warhol museum. Ate good meals at Max's Allegheny Tavert, The Commnoner and Mercurio's Pizza. Had a great time at the Pitt-Clemson game.

Pittsburgh is a very walkable city. We were only there for two nights, so we wandered through town during the day. Our two evenings were dedicated to a Penguins game and to the opera. The trip was really too short. We look forward to going back. There is so much more to see and do.

I really liked how they repurposed a trade school building to be a hotel. They left many of the original details in place while making a very comfortable hotel with welcoming public spaces. The room was well-laid out and had plenty of space and a large window. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent--right in the heard of Lawrenceville, a very vibrant residential neighborhood close to downtown Pittsburgh.

It was the perfect location between 2 GA soccer games and downtown for exploring the universities and the city. it was super quiet, nice neigbors and close to restaurants and shopping areas. The house was well equiped and our kids loved to have the differnt kind of sport team themed rooms (even we are more eagles fans coming from Philly). Thanks again.
