I liked the serene and clean environment. The google mapping exceptional such that whenever I requested for an uber it came direct to my door step. I also liked the honesty with people there.I was happy to walk to malls and have freedom to choose what I wanted and incase what I had picked failed to suit me,returning was not a big tussle. I was also impressed with jobs availability through several adverts I saw both online and on various places.Given a chance I would wish to come and work there. What gave me some stress was the type of foods which I am not used to.
The city still has its spectacular sites the Point - Mt. Washington - Albeit Station Square did not recover from covid many shops are being converted to office space - The Pirates stadium struggling to sell tickets. The main eye opener after visiting again since covid is that it is a Sanctuary City and is now over run by illegal immigrants criminal element homeless BLM and Pride - who just meander around downtown and in the parks. The people seem to have no attachment to the city or our country. People look aloof all doing their own thing wandering around. Then their are those who work downtown and commute in flooding the highways traffic has increased 100% drivers have become aggressive - they scurry down the sidewalks around the loiterers to work and then leave the city at night to the element. With the decline in steel jobs and others people have moved out and left Pittsburgh to resemble a 3rd world country. Sorry to say dont waste your time or money, go to an all inclusive resort and be happy.
My husband and I went there to visit the August Wilson African American Cultural Center. It was an awesome experience. We also walked around Market Square. We ate at Bahama Breeze which was a treat since the Bahama Breeze in Orange Ohio closed a couple of years ago. While driving around the city we marveled at houses that sat way up on hills. The bridges are colorful and beautiful.
I usually visit during baseball season, to enjoy a weekend series at PNC Park, but there's much more to this historical city than the Pirates, Steelers, Panthers and Penguins. By chance this trip I passed through Bloomfield (the city's Little Italy) and spent part of my day in Lawrenceville -- home of the Clemente Museum. Take a walk if you dare, across the 40th Street Bridge (otherwise known as the Washington Crossing) and check out the seals of the original 13 Colonies. A stroll through Oakland, home of the University of Pittsburgh, is always recommended. Along with the beautiful campus, there are spacious Schenley Park, the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial, and several other sights to enjoy. Downtown is about a 20-minute bus ride away and well worth the trip.
Traffic is chaotic. We found that attractions were poorly marked or explained anywhere. Everything felt like a big Easter egg hunt. Minimal parking all over. Lots of restaurants. And hop on hop off bus was great.
Pittsburgh is a generally clean and friendly city. It is very progressive while maintaining a charm that is reminiscent of years gone by. We always take in at least one baseball game and the loveliest ball park in the country. Getting around is very easy, even to a driver not always comfortable with city driving.
The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. For travellers in and out of Pittsburgh Int’l Airport the free shuttle provided to and from is very convenient (on arrival into Pittsburgh just phone reception for shuttle). Many amenities for a decently priced hotel (pool, fitness center, free parking, laundry facilities, excellent variety at breakfast). Would stay again if the occasion arose.
The room has a nice view of the Southside & Station Square which was pretty at night at an affordable price (2nd cheapest downtown). The complimentary breakfast buffet has a nice variety of food: scrambled eggs, bacon, Turkey sausage, cheese, oatmeal and cold cereal, sweet breads & bagels, make your own waffles, assorted yogurt and fruit. Dana at the front desk was very friendly.
I honestly loved EVERYTHING about this hotel. The location was perfect, the staff was amazing, and the room was exceptional. I had a great view of the river. To make it even better this was the ONLY hotel that I could find downtown with free parking. I would recommend this hotel to everybody and I guarantee I will be returning to Pittsburgh and staying here soon.
Although it was just 1 night stay, we enjoyed it very much. Beds were comfortable, room was nice and quiet and stuff was friendly. I appreciate breakfast packages during the pandemic however it is too much of packiging and plastic for me but other then that everything was fine! I recommend the place is it is also fair distance from Pittsburgh downtown.
I liked the bar area, staff was very polite, and the room was very clean. The hotel felt very secure as well due to multiple security measures and locational advantage of not being on a super busy street but also being close walking distance to market square and other areas of downtown.
Employees friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very spacious. The panoramic view of downtown is remarkable. Hotel overall was very clean with great lighting indoors and outdoors. Valet service was spectacular! Great location in downtown Pittsburgh.
The hotel offers a great continental breakfast, an indoor pool and a gym. The room was clean and comfy The location is not really central, but we liked it that way because it was way more tranquil
The property is beautiful and is kept very clean! The location is ideal with being in downtown and right next to the stadium and you can’t beat the in room river views and free valet parking!
Young atmosphere in a hotel, wide room. The respond of the front reception when we ask fixing the clogged toilet late at night was very quick by 2 ladies 🫡
The location is beautiful. It is close to stores and downtown. The staff were amazing. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.
Very pleasant and helpful welcome late at night. Large, clean room and exceptionally comfortable bed. Good downtown location
The staff was helpful, the room was very clean and the atmosphere of the hotel was nice. The Wi-Fi was good.
Location is actually close by Downtown Pittsburgh, just 10 minutes. Hotel was good and clean. No complains.
