Its not about words for this property, its about how it makes you feel. A step back in time but with all the amenities you will ever need. Super luxury, most comfortable bed, the roll top bath, the deck with the view, the history..and the host. All perfect and most definitely unforgettable. You must visit.

I liked that it was close to the highway so we did not have to drive round in the middle of the night. My family and I were at a concert in Boston. We literally just needed a place to sleep that was not exorbitantly priced. I am not too picky and I just wanted somewhere to sleep and take a shower. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was fine with us. We are low maintenance are are happy with whatever free option is offered. A coffee to help wake me up is really all I need. The staff were also personable.

The people there are very very nice and accommodating. The room was good size and the shower was amazing. It was cool in the room and we couldn’t get the heat working, but the owner came right over and got it working for me. I was very pleased with the room and the staff. I would definitely recommend the Hamilton Inn to all my family and friends.

Close to Pomfret or Putnam for larger shopping needs. Great area to explore or just settle in for a relaxed stay. Our visit was at the end of a long driving holiday, so we mainly chose this accommodation for a relaxed/quite inhouse stay. Nick took such great care of us it truly was a special little place full of all the comforts you would expect plus more.

Not many dining options in Pomfret beyond "Grill 37."

Not many dining options in Pomfret beyond "Grill 37." Thought the restaurant was just okay and not deserving its high rating, but it's literally the only place in town. Next time will likely have dinner in Putnam.

The Inn at Fox Hill Farm is a quiet, serene and beautiful...

The Inn at Fox Hill Farm is a quiet, serene and beautiful setting. Paul was very hospitable. The farmhouse is filled with family history. Our dinner at Grille 37 right down the hill was excellent, as was our breakfast in the morning. My friend and I had a lovely time. Our stay at the Inn was a great finish to our leaf peeping trip!

Grill 37 is a good restaurant.

Grill 37 is a good restaurant. Pomfret is an easy drive to hiking at the state park or to Roseland Cottage in Woodstock. Also, we enjoyed Putnam's restaurants and their river walk which includes the water falls of Cargill Falls. Just be careful as some of the country roads are pretty dark at night.
