Providence is such a lovely city with many charming areas that are often accessible by walking or with available parking as well as river walk. It makes a lovely hub for exploring from Boston to Newport and Cape Cod.

I was only there for a couple of days for the World Cup and...
I was only there for a couple of days for the World Cup and in the short time we stayed we found the people to be really friendly and there seemed to be lots to do and plenty shops, bars and restaurants to try. We would love to go back and explore more!

nothing was good- no lock on womens shower - dimly lit hallways - strong chemical floral odor in room . sp strong I smell it in my clothes 2 days later - wet carpet like they spilled Fabuloso on the carpet-- i request a refund . do not stay here if you value your safety . there is no staff onsite. horrible stay - i slept with furniture behind the door to hear a possible intruder. windows were old and had to be propped to stay open. AC truned off in night - was not on in morning. room was hot, no way to control AC . please by all means stay somewhere else.

Unfortunately, my experience at this Airbnb was very disappointing. The reservation was booked for 7 guests, and we stayed within that exact limit. We were having a small graduation get-together for my son when the host contacted us about noise concerns. The moment we were informed, I apologized immediately, cooperated, and began arranging for everyone to leave safely.
Despite complying right away and causing no damage to the property, we were removed from the Airbnb and denied any refund for the unused portion of the stay. I understand hosts wanting to maintain rules and respect their neighbors, but I felt the situation was handled unfairly and without much understanding or communication.
I believe guests should be treated more reasonably, especially when they are actively cooperating to resolve the issue.

Very pretty city despite the fact that, like many other cities it was victimized by the interstate highway interests in the 70's and early 80's. If you go in October, the Jack-O-Lantern event at the Zoo is spectacular. Italian areas is good; Camile's is recommended for dinner. The DownCity Arts district and the RI School of Design art museum are places to see. However, I did find that Providence is expensive compared to where I live, so be prepared to pay a few $$ more for dinner and drinks.

Actually, I didn't see much of the city.
Actually, I didn't see much of the city. I mainly toured other towns in RI, but I had to come to Providence to catch the train home. The one night I spent at this hotel, however, was a great way to end my vacation.

The room was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms and toilets were shared, but I didn't meet other guests. The room was spacious. I stayed there for about 8 days, but I felt comfortable the entire time. It was as good a place to stay as common hotels in Japan!
It was my first time staying by myself in a foreign country, so I was a little nervous at first. However, the hosts, Luz and Rubin, were very nice people, and I had a great time in Providence! I would love to meet them again!

The location is great, right at the heart of Providence. The room (a small suite) was a good size. Self parking was close by (just behind the hotel).
