So many little touches that made it so welcoming! A sign welcoming us, a bottle of wine, chocolate, hand fan, fragrances, etc. Thank goodness for a brand new toothbrush bc i had completely forgotten to pack mine.

We’ve been lucky enough to stay at Z Ranch multiple times now, and it’s become a favorite for our whole family. My kids absolutely love it there—between the animals, open space, and freedom to explore, it’s a dream for them. For me, it’s all about the peaceful setting, beautiful views, and that perfect warm Templeton weather. Alice and her family are truly the best hosts—so kind, welcoming, and attentive. Every visit feels like a return to something special. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking to unplug and recharge in a serene, stunning place.

There was no breakfast available on a Tuesday morning, but good coffee service in the lobby which was great. And recommendations for local breakfasts was great: we went to the Kitchenette in Templeton - a fantastic breakfast place!

Rooms were charming and comfortable. The vibe reflected Paso Robles perfectly. The staff were so nice and went out of their way to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. Loved the skin and hair products.

    WE LOVED this place. Booked it pretty much accidentally since it was cheaper than most of the hotels on our road trip from LA to San Fran. A beautiful beautiful house in the middle of nowhere that I didn’t even wanna leave and wanted to just stay there and chill forever. Honestly regretted booking it just for the weekend. If it weren’t literally across the globe from where I live, I’d be back asap. Loved it.

    Very comfortable for our family. We really felt at home in the valley view cottage. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, and nice kitchen. Sunsets were lovely! Very quiet and secluded yet it was only a short distance to Paso Robles and several wineries.
