We like the Hyatt chain in general because it feels more high-end than most hotels in the same price range, and this was true for our stay at the Valencia location. The hotel and rooms are tastefully decorated in earth tones, and the furniture is of a higher quality, including the beds, desks, tables and chairs. The hotel is in a good neighborhood, located across the street from an upscale shopping mall with many restaurant choices. However, the in-house restaurant and bar was also very good and very convenient, as it was raining when we stayed. We liked that a hotel key swipe is required to use the elevator, as that seems more secure.

Beds and pillows were not comfortable for wife or me...

Beds and pillows were not comfortable for wife or me...perhaps they would be fine for other people. But be aware, they don't allow any of the complimentary breakfasts up in the rooms. (Even though we saw others carrying trays up to their rooms, and a staff member helping an elderly gentleman with his tray going up the elevator.) But they selected ME to stop when I attempted to bring my wife a Christmas breakfast in bed. :(

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to get an early check in and enjoyed the extra time at the pool. Breakfast was included and good. I had the breakfast burrito and enjoyed it. We would stay here again.

Trip was too short, we only stayed a day! We went too Six Flags Magic Mountain. Definitely make sure to have at least 2 full days to be able to rest prior to visiting the amusement park. If visit both the amusement park and the water park, I would recommend 3 days. So, you could have 1 day for each park and another day to just chill. Valencia itself was pretty nice, when it came to what I saw. Some good places to eat.

Nice place. Looks are always deceiving. Had a severe ant issue. My kids and I were bit. But don’t bother trying to get some type of refund back, even half at the least because even with photos and videos of the ant issue all over beds, carpets and bathrooms, and photos of bites they will not budge. The master bedroom was infested with them, you had to get on floor to see them all over. We checked out so quick after noticing this. They also lied about count of beds then tried making me look like a liar when I had all the proof. I always take photos of everything just in case. I sent it all to booking.com but this company and the host do not give a crap. I am not even a person to complain but this experience was so disgusting and they all could care less. So just be careful and if you do rent this place make sure you ask about if their ant issue has been taken care of. I wouldn’t want anyone especially if you have kids to experience this. Also, it’s hard to see all the ants in photos as these are just some photos I took before realizing there was so many on carpet and bed. I ended up taking videos instead but they are not loading for some reason.

Valencia is a small little oasis in the desert.

Valencia is a small little oasis in the desert. They have a theme park, a mall with good restaurant options and an excellent dog boarding facility Bone 2B Wild so they had all we needed nearby and quick to get to.

The hotel was very well situated, being just off the i-5 Highway. The hotel bar was a welcome amenity and Michael was a good host. The on-site laundry room was just what we needed after having been on the road for a couple of weeks.
