The breakfast was middle of the road comfort food. Fresh and warm. The toaster blew a fuse however. It couldn't be fixed because nobody had a key to the room with the fuse box. POOR organizing.

We stayed here in May this year and were pleasantly surprised by how modern and almost luxury this place felt compared to other Holiday Inns (in the UK) we’ve stayed in and this time was no different. Our standard King Room was modern, spacious, plenty of storage for clothes and lovely and light during the day. Great size TV for arriving back at the room in the evening. Breakfast is simple but there is plenty of choice and saves the dollars for shopping! Frandi was there to greet us again on reception - we remembered her from our previous stay and she always made conversation when we headed out or headed back. She recommended great restaurants, the Indian place she suggested was amazing and she’s just a lovely lady - please pass on our thanks - Nick & Beth from the UK! We will definitely be back again.

We have visited Venice many times over the years and it remains one of the most beautiful villages in Florida. Shops and restaurants of all kinds, welcoming churches, parks, playgrounds and cultural activities give it a well rounded feel. Beach maintenance has been a struggle with storms but plenty of room and a nice, accessible public beach at center. Historic Crows Nest, Pops Grill in nearby Nakomis and Red Grouper Tavern along with Two Chefs Bistro and Columbia at St. Armands near Sarasota are dining spots to check out.

I'm not a beach person.

I'm not a beach person. I was visiting a relative in a nearby rehab facility. Venice Beach is a pretty and walkable little town . It has good eateries and shopping, There is abundant centrally located free parking in the town center, and I found that a pleasant surprise. The beach is also clean with white sand and crystal blue water. At the time of my visit (mid-June), it was blazing hot. If you're not a beach person, it's best to schedule your outings before noon, or in the early evening.

Great beach area amazing restaurants’(Sharkeys Restaurant)at the pier in Venice great food and entertainment.Although Venice was nice we enjoyed spending time at Casey Key in Nokomis this was our favorite.

The town was set up by a British Town Planner.

The town was set up by a British Town Planner. It has a little of everything. Miles and miles of sidewalks and incredible mature trees. Many restaurants, shops and cafes all within short walk. Great town to walk and ride a bike. The beaches are beautiful and not too crowded. Sharkey's at the pier is not to be missed. The town has many festivals scheduled throughout the year.

Our Villa had bicycles for our use.

Our Villa had bicycles for our use. I was rehabbing my knee so we rode everywhere. The bike paths are great and there are so many different beaches to ride too. Also, part of the Legacy path runs through the town, along the marina's and just riding through the subdivisions was fun.

Peaceful, Culming, and Relaxing a place to get away from it all! Liked · The location is right across the street from a quite beach. The beach is also large and not very many people. The entrance to beach has a little store and restaurant with bathrooms. In the morning there are Yoga classes and at night there is always some type of music from local musicians. The owners of the hotel put a lot of money into their rooms and decorations and furniture so more like staying in your own beach home. They have great light breakfast with donuts and pastries from a local bakery that taste like the old days, and it is free with your stay. They also provide Beach Chairs and umbrellas for their guest no charge. All of the employees are super nice and very helpful. The hotel is also in walking distance of Old Town Venice which has great shops and Restaurants. Also, the Ocean and beach have a lot of fossil and Shark teeth if you're into that. We stay here every time we go to Venice Beach FL. The Sunset is also Awesome at the beach Disliked · There is nothing to dislike about this property.

The friendly staff took care of all our needs, even gave us a new room with Bayview for half of the time, when we had only booked Bayside – that was so amazing! The motel itself is neat, well equipped and close to the beach. We loved the grill stations they have and had BBQ every evening. Really enjoyed that!
