We stayed in the Eco Cabin. It was very cosy, clean and has everything you need. A great base for the national park (feels secluded but is not too far from things). Highly recommend.

We had a delicious dinner very professionally served and waited upon by the friendly staff. We had our room booked but the very capable manager gave us a choice of two rooms so we were very comfortable in a room with a beautiful forest outlook. Great memories!

Wonderful location, just outside the Volcanoes National Park yet very private and accessible to everything around. The property was equipped with everything you need, and it showed that the owner had put alot of thought into creating this beautiful, restful, and comfortable place to stay. Wish there were more stay options as this property...may I suggest, bookings.com look closely at this place to use it as a model property to expand in the future. Thank you, Stacey!

The main attraction is the National Park, so Volcano is the best for lodging if you plan to spend more than one day there, and don't want to drive everyday. Not much choice for places to eat outside of the park. Volcano House and Military Camp inside the park are good. We go for the hiking and volcano viewing.

Quiet and convenient. noted the Lava Rock Cafe very much - excellent fish & chips and burgers. Gas available; ability was nice. The eateries seemed to be hit or miss as to when they were open. With this many Park visitors, a consistently open and availability for food could be a gold mine for owners with the right mindset.

It was very cool.

It was very cool. Able to walk down, across and up the volcano. About 5 miles overall, and took us a couple hours and a medium pace. Totally worth it and on a bucket list of visiting the big island of Hawai'i.

Volcano National Park was amazing.

Volcano National Park was amazing. Watching the volcano ooze and then erupt was amazing. But even without that, the views of what Mother Nature can do were awesome. And the town nearby, Volcano Village has a great little art house and a couple of reasonable and good restaurants.

It is close to Volcano National Park.

It is close to Volcano National Park. In the park, there are many scenic hiking trails, interesting natural wonders, and with luck, an eruption. Facilities in the town are minimal, with limited dining and groceries.

Everything you could want in a little cottage in the Hawaiian rainforest. Really close to the volcano (great when the fountaining started), top notch facilities for somewhere fairly remote and reliant on catchment water (it's triple filtered so you can drink it from the tap). The bed was supremely comfortable too! Provided chairs, flashlights and other useful items for volcano watching.

The room was uniquly decorated and the grounds was beautiful. The bed was massive and really comfrotable. Had a wonderful stay and was lucky enough to be staying when the volcano erupted so we were able to quickly drive into the national park within 10 minutes.
