We loved everything about the accomodation. The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. We stayed at the Lodge for 3 nights and fall in love immediately. The staff was very friendly, the room was absolutely cute and perfectly cleaned and the dinner at the Lodge was excellent (you should try the Volcanoes wine made in the area!). Drinking water and parking were for free. The location was great, since we were there for hiking in the Volcanoes National Park, which is only 5-10 mins drive away. You can use the fire place in the common area for free and enjoy a relaxing evening. There is no TV in the room, which we loved. Time to talk and read a book. A rain forest nature trail belongs to the Lodge's area as well.

Super easy check-in process for travellers arriving late. Easy to find and a well located accommodation for visiting the National Park. The provided breakfast of Banana bread and yoghurt filled Paw Paw was a nice touch, and helpful for a quick getaway.

Absolutely loved it here! Great location for visiting the national park and it was super cool to listen to the rainforest sounds at night outside the property. Very clean, great shower and useful to have the mini kitchen with fridge and microwave. Staff were very responsive and helpful regards check in as we were a last minute booking. Highly recommend! Great value as well.

Volcano National Park was amazing.

Volcano National Park was amazing. Watching the volcano ooze and then erupt was amazing. But even without that, the views of what Mother Nature can do were awesome. And the town nearby, Volcano Village has a great little art house and a couple of reasonable and good restaurants.

It is close to Volcano National Park.

It is close to Volcano National Park. In the park, there are many scenic hiking trails, interesting natural wonders, and with luck, an eruption. Facilities in the town are minimal, with limited dining and groceries.

Two or three days seems the right amount of time for Volcano...

Two or three days seems the right amount of time for Volcano and it's obvious neighbouring attractions. The town itself seems a bit "tourist challenged" in that there are a very limited number of dining choices. Other than that, there is a weekly Farmers Market on Sunday mornings, a gas station, hardware store, a couple of general stores, a slew of BnBs...and that's about it. All the interest lies in the nearby Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and rightly so.

I absolutely adorable volcano village.

I absolutely adorable volcano village. Unfortunately the small volcano general store has turned into a bistro called Thai Thai bistro which is extremely overpriced at $24-$30 a plate. We ordered the sweet sour stirfry and asked for pork but ended up with chicken because it was takeout, there was no way to send it back Other than the commercialization of the village. I would highly recommend visiting there and staying at least a week in an Airbnb.

Got lucky to book a room at Volcano House due to a last...

Got lucky to book a room at Volcano House due to a last minute cancellation. View of erupting volcano was an extraordinary once in a lifetime experience. Room was clean and adequate, but that was irrelevant, we would have stayed in a tent for this! Restaurants were both surprisingly good!

Volcano is conveniently close to the national park , and...

Volcano is conveniently close to the national park , and Mauna kena, and far away from the touristic loud places . However access roads are tricky, you need a good car . And not too many options close by for groceries or place to eat.

Very homely with thoughtful messages and small welcome gifts, everything was there, lots of space, amazing kitchen, lovely porch, so close to the volcano! Can absolutely recommend this place. As the owner says, make sure you hit the supermarket on the way there as close by there is only a small local shop that stocks only bare necessities for crazy prices.

Fantastic place to stay. really well located close to Volcano village (walk easily to the 3 or 4 restaurants that are there) large well appointed room, super clean and has everything you need. Photos dont do it justice, much better in person. Very comfortable beds, very friendly and accommodating hosts.
