United KingdomExcellent location, with lovely views. I went for some stargazing at the little observatory, 10 minutes walk away, but clouds got in the way. Nevertheless, although everything is done remotely and I saw no staff, this was a clean, spacious and modern place to stay. A little pricey maybe, but worth it for the location and the facilities. The town of Westcliffe is interesting too, with several options for breakfast

Westcliffe is a small town, with the relaxed atmosphere a small town provides. The scenery is gorgeous, the shopping is so fun and diverse. The art gallery in town is impressive. The wolf sanctuary Mission: Wolf is a must go! There is so much to do and see - yet so much ambiance of time and no need to rush. Tumbleweeds is a definite place to go for an amazing cup of tea and pastry, the owner is sweet as pie.
A wonderful place to relax, recharge and adventure!

This is only my second time to be in Westcliffe.
This is only my second time to be in Westcliffe. I was there 20 over years ago and had always wanted to return. I absolutely love this small town. It is so clean and the perfect size for this rural girl. I am a mountain lover, and my favorite mountains are the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. The Westcliffe area is so gorgeous to me. I'm close to retirement and toy with the idea of moving to this small town. A view of those beautiful mountains would never get old.
