Visiting family close by so the location was perfect for a 3 night stay. The breakfast was first class. Used the bar in the evening for dinner and drinks with family members and the hotel has a nice feel about it. The staff are so cheery, helpful and very attentive making it a very nice atmosphere. Will have no hesitation in booking this hotel for my future family get togethers.

    High Street is awful 😖 dirty pavements with old chewing gum. Uneven pavements. Closed down shops looking grotty as empty with homeless in doorways. Plenty of pop up shops selling vape , mobile phones not where I would spend my money. The smells as you walk around are unpleasant.

    It doesn’t matter if a hotel is 5* or a small B&B, it’s the personnel working there. The Holiday Inn Southend, have phenomenal staff, from meet & greet reception, housekeeping, and the excellent roof restaurant breakfast team, to Roberto Manager & Caeden who worked alongside him, as together, they had exceptional rapport with guests, everything was dealt with smoothly, and with great humour so praise is given all round as it was a great mini break.     The areas around Southend are much nicer than Southend...

    The areas around Southend are much nicer than Southend itself. There isn't much to do in Southend, however, I recommend a trip to Leigh on Sea and Chalkwell, both very beautiful areas of South Essex. Additionally, take a trip to Thorpe bay or Shoeburyness. Dog & Co do amazing coffee out there.

    As I lived in the Southend area for many years it was so nice to come back and find it was even better. The hotel was very convenient to the seafront and easy access to restaurants for the evening. Good atmosphere in shops in fact everywhere we went had excellent service.

    The general area looked very nice, plenty for kids to do, shopping good also. Our experience was below our expectations due to our hotel stay, I'm sure we would have a better image if the hotel was up to standard. Great bus services, the pier was beautiful

    we had a midweek Break therefore missing the weekend so we were able to Relax and enjoy the Location without the Crowds so if you want a Break at Southend then go for it and stay at the Park Inn Hotel.
