A really popular seaside location for day trips, weekends or longer. Easily reached by train or car from London. Great shops for a mooch and a really wide selection of cafes and restaurants. Do try the famous local oysters. And of course the beach!
Whitstable has had a perfect upgrade - excellent restaurants and top quality accommodation but still retaining its old charm and down to earth feel with its working fishing harbour. The long high street has dozens of quirky independent shops and a good museum. Oysters are whitstable’s main claim to fame and are available most of the year but not in summer for local ones.
Shops are quirky and lovely to browse. Could spend a lot there, if left to shop on my own. Beach eateries and walks are most enjoyable and the harbour stores. The traffic is horrendous and Whitstable really could do with a traffic reduction system. As trying to cross the road was life threatening at times.
A favorite of ours for a sly weekend or day visit, i think we have got a little bored of it now though, still a great place but a few too many pretentious types, Tarquins and Mungos with there yappy little dogs holding on to half a lager.
A quant fishing village that has come to life over the last 20yrs Vibrant high st with lots of bars, pubs and restaurants also an assortment of different shops No amusement arcades or kiss me quick hats
Charming seaside town! Possibly calmer and more refreshing than Brighton! So close to London! Must come back ! I came for a wedding Job and didn’t have as much time as I’d hoped to have to visit the town but I will deffo be back! Charming ! Most places are in walking distance and if not taxis are not expensive. The Fresh sea air was very much needed. Love it.

Cliftonville House is in an excellent location just a brief (10 minutes) walk to the main attractions of Whitstable. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Undercover parking was provided adjacent to the property. Our host, Sue, was friendly and able to provide information about the town and other places to visit in the area. Top marks for the lovely cooked breakfast! Could not ask for more from a B&B!

Julie, our host was fantastic Welcomed us to the Lodge and whilst we knew she was around should we need help, we enjoyed total privacy. The Lodge itself is warm and cosy, great little kitchen, everything you need. The Lodge is literally just over the road from the sea. Easy to get into Whitstable for all the great seafood restaurants. Great outdoor area, bbq, heater, chairs.

What a lovely property! Well managed and situated right on the coast. All facilities were there and in good working order. The owner apologised for no TV, but really you don't need it. Whitstable is a lovely town and the room was somewhere to pop back TO.

This house is like a warm hug. Its a very happy house and you can certainly feel the love of the people who have lived there over the years. The host has filled it with funny and charming wit and wisdoms and there is everything you need for a good stay. The beds are super comfy and the additional extras of fresh flowers, excellent bread and local eggs and apple juice, elevate this from excellent, to exceptional.

We thought the accommodation was excellent, the local information provided by Virginia prior to our visit ie restaurants to eat at, places to park was invaluable. The location was spot on, central but tucked away behind the main street.
