This place is classic understated elegance, and you can tell it was built to last and with quality. Seaside with rooms with a view (and binoculars!) , comfortable bed, modern bathroom, lovely downstairs area with 24/7 bar and an amazing buffet breakfast that provides a full English short of blood pudding. And 5 minute walk from freshly shucked oysters on the pier.

The beds were so comfortable, we slept better than we did at home! The site itself was great and close to Whitstable, the buses went from just outside the park to Canterbury too. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely book again if we were visiting the UK.

South AfricaWe loved our stay! The room was fantastic: spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and luxurious bedding. The house itself is a beautiful space, and it was lovely to have access to the shared areas. Breakfast is absolutely delicious, with homemade granola and local ingredients.
But by far the highlight was our gracious hosts. We loved meeting Mark and Ian and experiencing their genuine hospitality. They made our stay iincredibly comfortable and were full of great tips and suggestions that added to our time in Whitstable. It was exactly the escape from London we were looking for.
We would highly recommend staying here and would happily return!

IrelandMy parents stayed here for two nights recently. They were delighted with The Dairy. It is beautifully decorated, spotless, very comfortable, and had everything they needed. They loved having tea and coffee making facilities and the gorgeous teacups and saucers :) It was a restful stay after a long journey and being so close to the beach was perfect.

Whitstable is a wonderful town, with harbour and sea views,...
Whitstable is a wonderful town, with harbour and sea views, great shops and a nice harbourside market. We enjoyed the Oysters and whelks from the seafood stalls, had a lovely coffee at Hatshats and walked to Tankerton Slopes, a lovely coastal walk. On a separate day, we visited the castle and the gardens, well worth a visit. It was our first visit to Whitstable and we came away very impressed with this lovely Kentish coastal town.

We visited the Sea Sauna Scrub for a lovely sauna and cold plunge, followed by a swim in the sea. We enjoyed the restaurants we ate at and the shops we visited, plus trying the seafood available on the harbour front. We also enjoyed watching the sunset on the beach.

Great food.
It's such a lovely town
Great food. Food highlights- soft shell crab sandwich in the Harbour, Bears ice-cream and of course Oyster Stout and Oysters from the Whitstable Bay Oyster Company.
I like the bookshops including the new charity shop bookshop for Pilgrims Hospice. The town is cute and friendly and a nice atmosphere.

Wonderful location of typical beach holidays with children.
Wonderful location of typical beach holidays with children. Great beaches and clean water. Plenty to do, lots of lovely eateries. However if you want amusements, fair grounds etc, this is not for you.

As a family we have visited Whitstable many times over the years, it feels like a second home. We have stayed in hotels and self catering and have always found both to be great. We love that you can stroll about the gorgeous shops and then wander over to the beach and sit and enjoy the sunshine and then walk about the harbour. It's a special place

Whitstable is a lovely little Kentish riverside town, with great restaurants, a lovely High Street with quirky local shops, a good, working harbour with boat trips, bars and loads of eateries, and of course, Whitstable Oysters. There are buses into Canterbury, Herne Bay and Tankerton. My only reservation, book everything in advance. Whitstable is incredibly popular, and all the good restaurants are booked up weeks in advance. If you want to get in, book before you go. And be aware parking is very, very difficult, especially in August. The car park behind the harbour is usually full by 10am!

It was spacious, comfortable, well equipped and ideal for our short break. I’ve never had the tea making goodies provided in any of the other cottages we’ve stayed in - it almost felt like we were in a posh hotel! On the dry weather days, we were able to have some ‘al fresco’ breakfast and evening meals out in the private courtyard garden. It was close enough to walk into Whitstable town centre and down to the beach and along the Tankerton slopes, but was also set back from the road. Having its own parking space was fantastic.

Friendliest staff you could imagine, lots of young people as servers behind the bar etc all with lovely personalities, the breakfast choice was great and delicious too.our room was small with a small balcony free parking behind the hotel is a great added bonus as parking prices are extortionate in whitstable. Definitely will be returning and next time will book a room with a sea view 😊

It was a lovely place and we will return - unfortunately we were there during the water shortage in whitstable and couldn’t flush the loo , have a shower or decent coffee from their coffee machine . It wasn’t the hotels fault bug somewhat marred our stay .
