The are is nicce and peaceful, I live and work in London, beautiful part of Kent that I have been visiting for over 45 years :-) Food in the Grove Ferry Inn was well cooked and very tasty, we were a little worried as some of the reveiws weren't great but everything was fine.
A beautiful and fascinating town, where we would like to have a holiday apartment,if we could afford it ! A lovely, unspoilt part of Kent, full of great historical features, interesting shops and excellent restaurants.
Tends to get overlooked in favour of other Kent resorts. Nice quiet beaches, good shops both national and independent. Also some decent restaurants. No good if you want funfairs ans arcades.
Sittingbourne is a nice little town, on the rail line with a good shopping centre. It's close enough to all the major Kentish attractions by rail and car that it's well worth a look if you don't want your stay in Kent to be too pricey.
A jewel on the Kent coast. A charming town, unspoiled and pretty with everything you’d need for a lovely visit. Beautiful beach, quaint town and the Hythe and Dymchurch narrow gauge railway.
A fine mix of the medieval, Georgian and 20th century architecture create an ambience making Canterbury an ideal place to visit, and ideal base for exploring other parts of this remote area of Kent. We visited historic Broadstairs, for instance.
Good base for day walks in the Kent countryside and to visit Hever Castle and Penshurst Place. The High St in the old part of town is attractive and has all the essentials (pubs, restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy, tourist info).
Lots little shops and post office . good hotel for food and drink ..and several cafes but not always open ... a quaint Kent village ..Great central location for visiting surrounding areas .. Sissinghurst, Great Dixter and further afield towards the Southdowns and coast ..lots of National Trust properties in all directions! Cranbrook Windmill and church also interesting to visit ..lots of local history in beautiful countryside ..
A lovely little English seaside town in Kent. Lovely long beach, friendly people. great High Street as well, good little shops and an indoor market place full of treasures. Lots of little Cafe's and tea rooms. a variety of places to eat. Quite easy to get around the town once you have parked, there is free parking around the edges of the canal. The canal also makes for a lovely walk or boat ride.
Canterbury Cathedral is a must. Explore the charming Tudor back streets on route, cross the bridges on the Stour and weave your way back in time. Relax in a punt and listen to tales or simply relax with a pint of Faversham Ale. This is true English heritage in the heart of Kent and England’s beautiful garden.

For a person who look for perfection, this is the answer. Amazing little Hotel. Run by Ken and Karen, a family owned Boutique Hotel is a brand new Hotel in an extremely convenient location Canterbury. The warmth of this couple really touched us. Food prepared by Karen was outstanding. Excellent location, 5-7 minute walk away from the Canterbury "shopping" and the Cathedral. We had a memorable stay thanks to Ken and Karen, before leaving my son at the University of Kent!!!

Good place as a base to tour the Kent area. We opted for a back room in the hotel as its bigger and not so hot. We had visited last year and having had a leak in the bathroom was given a front of the hotel room so know the difference. Ceiling in bathroom still stained and in need of a good lick of paint Hotel was diffinately cleaner this year and £50 a night for a double room was a good price. Breakfast was OK but clean glasses would help with the juice. Overall its worth a visit.

Lovely place to stay, really well located to the railway station/bus routes, easy walk into Old Town, beach, pubs/restaurants etc. Breakfast was very good, really clean hotel, lovely owners, recommended a great walk for us. As kids we spent our holidays in Kent and it was fantastic to stay at an authentic British seaside hotel and relive happy family memories. Had a great stay and recommend Margate too, rejuvenated itself, easy day trips to Canterbury etc. Loved our stay.

We’ve just returned from a lovely weekend in Margate. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Immaculately clean and really well appointed. The owner - Archie - could not have done more for us. From sending through detailed information before hand to checking us in on the day. There was even a bottle of fizz on arrival! The location of the apartment was excellent for Margate’s old town and seafront and also makes a good base for visiting Kent’s coast. A great place to stay!

This is a nearly new little motel with a linked pub just across the car park. Welcome was pleasant and hassle free, rooms spotless with facilities as advertised. Service and food quality in the pub were great and the free breakfast was excellent. Hotel is located opposite a new shopping centre but is also ideally placed for the Kent Coast, Canterbury and the Ferry Ports. Much better value than the downmarket B&Bs in the seaside resorts.

Excellent beds - we both slept like logs. The whole hotel was beautifully warm (despite the coldest temperatures in Kent for a decade), and our room was quiet and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location can't really be beaten in Deal - directly opposite the pier and within short walking distance of the best restaurants and pubs/bars in the town. Great for cycling and walking along the seafront and beach.

I stayed here during the June heatwave and the room, which had good quality blinds was beautifully cool whereas I had come from another hotel in Kent where the room, which did not have blinds, was uncomfortably hot. Pleasant location opposite Winter Gardens theatre and the coastal walking and cycling path and a short walk from the main Margate seafront and the Tate Turner art gallery. Pleasant breakfast.

I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions now when working in the South East and choose to go over to Folkestone even though central Kent would be more convenient! I love waking up with the sea in view and the coast of France visible on a clear day. The service has always been good and the Cliffe restaurant a great venue for eating - although there is a fabulous Italian not very far from the hotel!

staff very helpful, we had to travel to Kent to take my brother in law to hospital and stay a couple of nights, as we had to get up early on Saturday morning to be at the hospital by 9.00 we needed a clock and straight away somebody staying at the hotel lent us their clock and the staff made us a pack up to take with us as we didn't have time for breakfast, they were all very kind.

The hotel was smashing and the staff were so lovely and helpful. The beach was a stone throws away and the view out of the front was great. They made a nice effort for our anniversary too. Town is a drive away but great location to visit lots of Kent. Restaurant was nice for dinner and breakfast good.

Have stayed at Stade Court several times either on a solo visit or with my partner, it is an ideal base for exploring Kent & good value for money. I could get into the hotel car park on this visit, but even when I can't there is plenty of on-street parking nearby.

As we’ve stayed before we knew that we would have a great time. Well priced and idyllic location. Very close to Whitstable town centre makes it a perfect base for a weekend in Kent. The pricing for food and beverages means that you’d never need to leave the hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful and polite the room was extremely spacious and wheelchair accessible and the food was 8/10. Well worth the price I can't complain and we will DEFINITELY be staying there again. Best hotel in Kent

We loved everything. Spacious and comfortable apartments. This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot. We got such a good deal and we love this gem tucked away in a beautiful area in East Kent.

This hotel is rapidly becoming my favourite in coastal Kent, where close family live. It is cheap, but clean, warm, comfortable and central. The staff are very helpful and pleasant, always with a nice smile.

The hotel was very nice indeed and the area was beautiful, I hadn't expected that part of Kent to be so picturesque and the beaches so accessible. Dover Castle was an added bonus, a brilliant day out.
