Set in Margate and with The Bay Beach reachable within 100 metres, Fort Road Hotel offers a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar.

Great location which was really close to the beach but not too busy and noisy. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able to leave a bag a few hours before the check in time. Room was very comfortable.

Burlington is set on the beachfront in Margate, 100 metres from The Bay Beach and 1.7 km from Walpole Bay Beach.

The man that greeted us (I believe Richard) was warm, welcoming and helpful. He was very sweet and concerned with making sure we were comfortable for the evening. We very much enjoyed our interactions with him, which gave the hotel a very home like vibe. We had just come in off the road and the room had a few snacks along with the typical water and coffee, which we really appreciated. The location is amazing, right on the beach and by the train station. We rented a car this time around but great to know for the future! Also the station provides a very cheap parking option. There's a retro arcade game on the main floor which has all of the old classics on there which the hotel let's you play for free! Definitely a cool bonus we didn't expect! Those games are my Era! Haha. Would definitely stay here again Thanks Burlington 😊

On the clifftops of Cliftonville, Margate, this elegant Victorian building is less than 2 minutes’ walk from the beach. With free Wi-Fi in public areas. Selina Margate offers a variety of room types.

It was a last minute booking, late check in and I had 3 problems with the whole experience. Staff were f riendly, helpful and informative and the room was comfortable and had a great bed. I even got an upgrade because the room was available which was a lovely touch.

Didn’t like Margate as much as Ramsgate not many pubs there, the only decent place is the mechanical elephant other places were expensive bars which were not my scene no karaoke venues like Ramsgate, just like Guildford the rodboro buildings in the centre and very few pubs in a big town which are all spread out of the town instead of being in the centre, it’s one of those towns with more tea places and diners and less pubs in the towns, can’t beat my number one town Reading in Friar street.

Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays.

Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays. I visited the Turner gallery, shell grotto, crab museum. I didn't have time to see the caves. Great sunsets. Loads of places to eat. I would highly recommend the Bull's Head for Sunday lunch. Best roasties ever! The Olimpia Bakery does coffee and amazing cakes.

I loved the fact that Seaview was in the old town of Margate, directly opposite Turner Contemporary and beautiful beach. Useful information folder, recommending everything from places to eat drink, visit etc. Loads of free street parking, regular buses to surrounding areas. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, be that in restaurants, shops or the bus drivers. A wonderful experience!

Margate was beautiful they have a vintage market for anyone who loves the vintage look. They have plenty of food bars and a food market we had a meal in a double decker bus it was amazing. The beach was beautiful clean and golden and I even managed to find seaglass to take home . There are main shopping centre but we didn’t get chance to go far .

Margate exceeded my expectations, the old town has some great bars and coffee shops, the old Kent market was a amazing little place with it's micro pub and eateries... Yes there's parts that have homeless people mooching about the the local shop owners ect are so friendly and point you in the right direction, also I found the local cab service brilliant the drivers wew so helpful, you have a art scene there and vibrant diverse community, it's not rolling hills or sedate Cornwall but ticked lots of boxes for me, Beach has lovely sand and little Louisa bay quieter nice little cafe for pitstop, will definitely return... Some parts so run down it hurts but other so up and coming it made it a pleasure to visit oh nip to Broadstairs for Morellis ice cream

Great place for a short break, really enjoyed 2 days there. The exhibition at the Turner Contemporary was good and the Shell Grotto was delightful. Plenty of spots to swim, though the sea looked a bit dirty in places. Walpole Tidal pool is not to be missed if you’re a swimmer. Nice restaurants and shops, wish I’d bought the shoes!

An exceptionally "different" hotel. Eclectic in style and full of rock star character in decor. Lots of Libertine artwork and memorabilia. Rooms are lovely and almost gothic in style and very clean. Staff are fantastic and very friendly. Even showed us around the recording studio before we left. Breakfast was exceptional. They had a Comedy act there in the evening and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Quite central with a 10 minute walk to Margate centre, beach, amusements and shops. Would love to go back soon.

Great location overlooking the beach. We had the apartment at the top of the building which was really spacious and tastefully decorated. Everything we needed was catered for - allowing us to relax indoors if the weather was bad or if we needed a pit stop. Andy was very helpful with advice and information and Joanne was there to meet us to answer any questions or queries. If you are planning a visit to Margate, my wife and I would highly recommend Neon Rooms.

The location of this property is excellent with fabulous views of the beach. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and had everything we needed. We were able to get the keys for one of the apartments from the lock box which was had the code to. The other code was obtained from the restaurant next door which was easy. We highly recommend and will stay again. Margate is a nice town and this apartment was in a great position.

The rooms was exceptionally clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a really nice sleep. Breakfast was amazing! There was a little garden behind the breakfast room and it was lovely! Morag, the host, was very welcoming and helpful. It mad me felt like home. I’d say staying at the Rosslyn court was the best memories in Margate! Totally recommend this place and will definitely visit again !

This was truly home-to-home. Wendy's house was exceptionally clean, stylish and welcoming. The beddings were the most comfortable to lie on. We felt like visiting a friend in Margate. The breakfast had everything like a five starred hotel could provide! The bus stop to Margate is just around the corner and it takes 10 mins bus ride to the town centre. Thank you Wendy!

The breakfast was really good, the rooms were clean and tidy and very quiet. The hosts were very friendly and gave us recommendations of what to do and where to go. We rented bikes for one day from Ken's Bikes (Cheapest price in Margate and great service) and cycled all the way to Joss Bay which was lovely. The hotel is very central and close to loads of bars and shops.

Comfortable room, great host and yummy breakfast. The location is ideal because it's quiet yet only 10/15mins walk from main Margate via a route either by the road or along the seafront. We had a very enjoyable time and I always appreciate staying at an accomodation where the host makes the effort to ensure you have the best trip possible - thanks Jim!

Excellent apartment with the best view! Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need including some lovely toiletry packs in the bathroom. Couldn’t ask for a better location in margate, right across from the beach. Helpful communications before and throughout the trip. Fabulous stay - would most definitely return!

Lovely stay at the Sherwood, didn't book a sea view however the room was nice, clean and quite spacious. Enjoyed a good breakfast. It was a only a few minutes walk to the main areas in Margate but obviously on the main sea front road. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you were staying in Margate for a couple of days.

Fab location, sea view rooms available. The grouting in the shower needed attention in my room but my friends room was perfect. A little more attention to detail and I would have given this Hotel an excellent rating. Overall a good hotel that I would recommend. The glass of Prosecco on arrival is a nice touch 😉
