Situated in Folkestone, 600 metres from Folkestone Beach, Westward Ho Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and water sports facilities.

We were travelling with our house cats and needed somewhere pet friendly and close to the Eurotunnel. Westward Ho was perfectly placed and gave us everything we needed. Staff were brilliant, even carried our crated animals to our room on the top floor, he was amazingly helpful and kind given our late arrival. He even helped us down on our departure the next day.

Overlooking Folkestone Harbour, The Grand Burstin Hotel offers limited parking, free Wi-Fi and wonderful sea views. Just 15 minutes from Dover, the hotel has a fitness centre and 3 restaurants.

Love it. Full of life and met loads of interesting people. As a Kent native and Frequent Folkestone visitor I've always wanted to stay here to see what it's like. We had a great time. Don't expect the Ritz, go with an open mind and you'll love it.

Overlooking the English Channel, the Best Western Clifton Hotel offers en suite bedrooms, many with sea views. It is 10 minutes from Folkestone town centre, railway station and Channel Tunnel.

This is the second time booking a single room for solo travel to Folkestone. The Clifton is ideal. It is clean, very comfortable beds, great seaside location. The single rooms are small, but have everything I need and I feel safe there.

I don't think it's that easy for a first time visitor in a car to navigate around the older parts of Folkestone. It's a very hilly area and the route to the beach is through narrow residential streets and not at all straightforward. It's pretty easy on foot. There is a good range of chainstores and local shops in the main shopping street although it's not a "shopping centre". There is a museum, a fisherman's museum, the revamped harbour arm is well worth visiting, and the town is about half an hour's drive from Dover and the main ferry port. There are plenty of pubs in the town and in the harbour area. There are recreational parks and a very well maintained formal park. It's about 45 minutes drive to Canterbury, through some outstanding countryside.

Don't expect the Ritz ....because its its not that! Beautiful scenic harbour view! You can see France on a good day......OUI. This place is steeped in HISTORY if you like history that is! If not plenty of shops or a quiet stroll along the beach. P.s...Hattie Jaques ( from the carry-on films) was born in SANDGATE and a blue plaque has been put up outside the house she grew up (blink and you'll miss it)! I can't fault this place.....i just can't!!!🍭🍭🍭

As always very charming, relaxing. Had authentic Nepalese food at Annapurna near city center. Morning pebble beach calmness is magical. Highlight is... high tide and low tide can Vanish and Bring Back your sand beach.

Folkestone seemed to be a very nice place, not a typically run down resort like many in the UK have become. If it was not so far from our home I would certainly consider further exploration of that part of the world

I love Folkestone. It's beautiful, peaceful. Beautiful sunny sands beach, just a few minutes walk from the hotel. A lot of amazing places to visit, so many restaurants where you can find delicious food, like fish and chips made from very fresh and high quality fish, fresh delicious sea food, amazing pizza from Fireaway restaurant. Folkestone is amazing to spend holiday with children, they are never bored there.

As one local remarked, it was the busiest weekend of the year so the town was flooded with people and cars. So parking was tough but I think the town was just about coping! It's a lovely place with excellent pubs, bars and restaurants. The old part is beautiful, especially the harbour and creative quarter with its colourful shops and galleries.
