Staff was extremely attentive and kind. Activities that I enjoyed: bread making, private cooking lesson making dimlama, walking to the little reserve with big horn sheep (you must be patient because the sheep might be in a different part of the reserve), and just walking in the area (note: you cannot enter the nature reserve but the hike to it is nice). Food was delicious! Unlike much of the food I encountered in the big cities, the food was hearty but not soaking in grease. It’s heart- and belly-warming food…peak home-cooked goodness. Lunch cost $10 USD. Relatively pricey for Uzbekistan but I imagine the reason would be because of the cost of transporting some goods from the city to the village. Not sure what dinner would have cost. It’s an idyllic place, a wonderful break from crowds and cars. I could see sheep and cows grazing from the window of my room and watch birds whimsically sitting on top of the sheep and cows. Rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. WiFi is great when you’re in/by the room. Private transport from Bukhara to the property is 800k som, the supposed “discount” price. It took about 5 hours. Traffic might have been worse than usual when I left Bukhara because the ride is supposedly just 4 hours.

We were 2 adults with 2 kids (5 and 8). We got a small room with 4 mattress, and a little room for the suitcase. This was all we needed. Note the bathroom is outside, but it wasn't a problem for us. The important thing is - there was always hot water. The road is a bit hard, but worth it! The place itself is beautiful and quiet. The people are very nice here, always willing to help and always with a smile. The food was good, and there was a lot of it. On the second night we had to remind them we want a vegetarian meal, but otherwise everything was good and tasty. They made eggs especially for the kids.

Beautiful place to stay. Beautiful scenery. Very tranquil. Great hiking. I was made feel very welcome by hosts. Komil is a gentleman. Sentab was highlight of my trip to Uzbekistan. It was nice to have a peaceful interlude after so many bustling cities.
