The host was incredible helpful and friendly. About the place itself - you have an incredible feeling of being in the middle of the real farm with the beautiful landscape while enjoying the comfort that in no way worse than in the very decent big city hotel (even better - you have your own place for the bbq, although we didn't have a chance to use it because of the heavy rain). Definitely recommended.

Travelling as family of 6. With grandparents and 2 under 2. Very spacious, lovely areas to sit out in the sunset and let the kids run around. Provided a cot and had exceptional service. Stayed here twice on our trip as an overnight and had a lovely personalised letter from the host who was also very responsive via text and call. Highly recommend staying here and will happily come back. ☺️

I was shocked. We were booked into Tranquilo Guesthouse.

I was shocked. We were booked into Tranquilo Guesthouse. The name sounded like a quiet, well-run “guesthouse”. We are two pensioners who went to support our granddaughter in Ermelo with a hockey tournament. We arrived at Tranquilo in the afternoon, checked in, unloaded our luggage and went to the hockey. On our return to Tranquilo we were told that all our luggage had been packed and there was a Viljoen family in our room. We were finally booked into Tranquilo two. Full of anticipation we went to Tranquilo two. Several people were wandering around the street where Tranquilo two is located. There were eight women sitting on a wall that were clearly there to attract male clients. Tranquilo two is not a guesthouse. No decent, well-educated person would stay there. It is shocking that members of the public are booked in there. We were terrified and decided to drive back home in the dark of night. This deprived us of attending our granddaughter's hockey games the next day. Something needs to be done before more unsuspecting people are scammed like this.

Salons are closed on Sundays except for one for caucasian hair.The Liqour Store next door to the butcher they offer good service and good prices by Church/Kerk Street next to the Engen garage by the corner.

It was such a pleasure staying at the Green Thumb guesthouse. Make sure to take milk and other food items with you - but they have all the cutlery etc. sorted. The staff are welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

My Stay was very short because I was headed to Nelspruit. I went to MERINO MALL, very beautiful and refreshing and Spent the Night @Livingwaters B&B; i wuld recommend this accommodation!! it is very easy to get around ERMELO, small town but has your Standard Eateries: Spur,Denonairs, BuergerKing, etc.

Too many potholes inside the town, not good for a car safety. Nothing to write home about for the place and duration of my stay. Seemed safe place though if one wants a quite place to relax. Lots of familiar shops similar to ones in big towns.

The people of Ermelo are wonderful but Bookings.com is not people orientated and killing service providers' businesses. How would you feel if you were in my shoes. I was badly treated 3 times in 3 months

Stella has become my 1st and only choice of preference when travelling within the Ermelo area. This was my third time booking at Stella and I love it. The staff were welcoming, considerate and hospitable. The breakfast was good and the rooms were clean and to the standard expected.

I was only there for one night. The hotel is on the edge of the main town are so one can walk into the town to shop or eat. Breakfast was good but not a lot of choice but maybe that's reflected in the price. There is a large car park with a controlled entrance.
