This is a lovely rustic little gîte in a fantastic location! We loved how close it was to charming St Leon & visited St Leon almost every day to swim in the river. We really enjoyed eating outside the gîte in the evening, and the children loved playing swing-ball in the garden!

This place was exceptionally wonderful and Jill is the most welcoming, friendly, kind person who went above and beyond in making us feel totally at home from the minute we arrived - she has fabulous hosting skills. We really enjoyed getting to know her and the story behind this gorgeous gite and she gave us loads of recommendations for the local area. Pretty Montignac is a decent sized town and the easiest 4-5mins scenic drive down a straight road past fields and the Vezere river, you can hire bikes there using an app, there are a number of stunning villages within 10mins drive, loads of great restaurants etc. But we loved the gite so much we enjoyed cooking there, relaxing in the various different seating areas in the garden including very comfortable sun loungers, playing with Jill's very friendly dog and wandering around the walnut orchards surrounding the property. As for the gite itself, it is brand new, squeaky clean, feels very spacious with high ceilings, has everything you need in the kitchen, great shower and incredibly comfy bed in cosy mezzanine bedroom up a stepladder - we loved looking out the bedroom window at night at the stars and listening to an owl. It is a magical place.

The house is located in a beautiful village and amazing green valley with fields, forests, cliffs and stream, near the heart of Perigored.

Thea Regatul Unit

The property was gorgeous and right in the heart of the beautiful village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère. The village has a few restaurants and cafes, even a vegan one which really pleased some of my family. Marie was very welcoming and helpful, she had even put some juice and milk in the fridge for our arrival. Everything was very comfortable and clean, we could not have had a better place to stay and hope to return for longer some time!
