An absolute must for those who want to enjoy Scottish country life, far away from everything, peace that can only be disturbed by a lowing cow or bleating sheep, incredible breakfast, offer that is a challenge for those who want to have it all, the food homemade is tasty, real yummy. Hostess and host are incredibly pleasant people, only challenge is the access road but that's part of being secluded, we will definitely be back

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the sportsman’s lodge. It was cozy, well equipped and dog friendly. Walking up to the beautiful surroundings was a great start to each morning and then seeing the clear sky full of stars from the hot tub of an evening was memorising. Our dog is nervous at times but settled quickly into the sportsman’s lodge it was like a home away from home for us all. Donna the host communicated well via text prior to our stay and offered her support at anytime if required. She also provided a beautiful welcome back on our arrival. We look forward to a return visit in the near future.

the pods are very cosy although found it a wee bit cold , the hot tub was amazing just a wooden one bit so cute really enjoyed my stay

This cottage was one of the best stays we have done yet! The cottage was so cozy and had a full kitchen, two bathrooms with 2 showers and a tub, 3 bedrooms and a washer and cloths line. Debbie was so kind and showed us around the farm and really allowed our children to be hands on at the farm. They allowed them to collect eggs from the chickens, meet all the brand new lambs and let my son mark the new lambs and allowed us to not only watch a birth of twin lambs, but to allow us to help deliver them. There were games and movies for us to use too. There was a beautiful and large waterfall walking distance from the cottage too. They left a super helpful book with places to go to and places to eat at. Our stay here was honestly not long enough and I cannot recommend the cottage enough!

Fantastic place! Debbie left eggs and lemon cake for us, plus a hand-written note about the neighborhood and upcoming events. We didn't personally meet her, but still felt her friendliness. Rooms are spacious, kitchen well-equipped. Location is far from villages / cities, but you know it when you go there. Peel Farm is couple of kilometers away, try their pie, especially the one with boar. The waterfall is a nice walk, too.
