An absolute MUST stay! Your own railway station for the duration! A beautiful historic location tucked away in a safe, quiet, cosy, charming and very relaxing country environment. Fully funtional facilities (WiFi included) , Everything you need for a perfect self catering break. The fantastic old station is there-fully restored. This will be your house for the stay (+ car park for 1 car). Plenty for the train fan (and non train fan), shunt signals, points, trains, weigh bridge, platforms, track, train posters, old GWR memorabillia, lamps, signage, ground frame and other historic railway items. The old Waiting Room is your lounge! No trains are running, so is perfectly safe. Start the day with breakfast (from the fully fitted kitchen) on platform 1 and set out for a lovely walk along the disused trackbed. Spot the wildlife, enjoy nature, wave at the cows! Breathe clean air for a change. Enjoy a quiet drink on the platform at sunset and the real log fire by night. Enjoy the magnificent views, the beautiful rural location and the sheer peace and quiet of it all. The station has a fantastic collection of old railway (and non railway) books and DVDs (almost every genre) with TV and blu ray/dvd player. Bath, bidet, shower and towels provided. Lovley comfy bed, lots of period fittings and a real sense of history surround this property. Very moody and atmospheric by night-especially when the fog sets in! The property (and the area) is a photographers dream! The hosts were EXCEPTIONAL and really went the extra mile for us. They are full of local knowledge and really couldnt do enough for us. A CAR IS ESSENTIAL. The historic old town of Bromyard is close by and has all you need (yes, real greengrocers!) and the Dr Who / SciFi museum is certainly worth a visit (see Jon Pertwee's original TARDIS prop!). We will certainly return to this property. In my head, I am still waiting on the platform for the old steam train (that isn't coming!) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The location is perfect, rolling hills, a beaufiful wooded valley, and a converted barn with original wooden beams. The cottage provides everything you need for breakfast with facilities to cook your own meals including essentials like cooking oil and condiments. The bed is very comfortable, and has a large TV with Sky (inc. Sports). There is good wifi so you won't miss not having a phone signal. Nancy is very generous and friendly, and offered fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden.

Lucy and Steven were excellent hosts. The bed was very comfortable and room cosy,with excellent views over the farmland and countryside. With an exceptional farm produce breakfast..... Great place to stay.
